I don't think the cabinet will fit in space with all of the bumpers installed. The space is only 17.5" deep.

Answer:
Yes. They are slipped on the support posts and are not essential to the caster. They do seem to offer protection for the caster. Not using them would reduce the overall footprint a bit.

Answer:
Thanks for your question.
Wire shelving unit with caster but without bumper is technically no problem, but dear customer you need to know the bumper is buffer use. (Prevent the collision between wire shelving unit and wall or cabinet) You need to be careful at moving wire shelving unit, otherwise damage could possibly be made.

Answer:
If you're planning on long term outside, I'd say no. However if you take it outside for short term periods, then the answer is yes. It's not made for being outside all the time. That's what you can use the plastic or similar material for.

They are REALLY heavy duty so I believe they will work well outside. Mine rolls pretty well across shag carpeting which could be comparable to grass.

Answer:
3/8" diameter and also needs to be the same thread pattern as the HDX post. The length of the shaft won't matter much. If you will be trying to level the unit on rough ground the 1" shaft length like on the HDX casters would be an advantage.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 124 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very well designed!! I used these to install roof trusses on a new build home. I dunno why some say they aren't strong because they are VERY well built with polyurethane wheels. I couldn't have done the job without these!! Great product!! August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. The product assembly was straight forward with no problems they were installed quickly and functioned as described. October 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smooth action These wheels were bought to add to the wire shelving units supplied by HD. A little fiddly to fit, but very smooth rolling and they make the loaded shelving units easy to move around. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Versatility The product came in a package of 4 casters with the bumpers. Very easy to assemble with the HDX shelving unit. The casters made it easy to move the shelving with no problem, even with boxes on the shelf. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Would have given it 5 stars if it worked on the shelving system I bought from Home Depot. The HDX 24"x13"x30" unit has 1/8" posts and these wheels are 3/8". Had to take back HDX shelves and bought Honey Can Do brand from Walmart. Wheels are solid, comes with 2 that have stops on them, perfect for my use October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wheels for Shelves Wheels are nice and sturdy. Makes moving the shelves much easier. Easy to install. They raise the shelves about 5 inches. Don't know how the work on carpet, as mine are on a concrete floor, in the basement. I may have been able to find them cheaper somewhere else, but these were made for the shelves, so no having to figure things out. Has a weird collar on them, and not sure what they are for, but installed them anyway. September 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good set of casters Don't know about long-term reliability but so far, so good. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Compliment to the Shelving I bought these casters to place on shelving units I purchased. Very high quality, easy installation and they have locking wheels. All you need to do is remove the levelers and replace them with casters by screwing them into the bottom of the shelving legs. Snug them down with a wrench and done. These casters operate very smoothly and make the shelves, even fully loaded, effortless to move around. Highly recommended. September 10, 2016
