Is the end of the water hose is resistant to basic solution at pH=14?

Asked by: Rita
Almost nothing can sustain a solution as basic as 14. This is the theoretical limit of the scale.

How hot can the water be that flows through this hose.

When the flow stops the hose will be empty. Usage will be about 30 minutes at a time to put water into a pool.
Asked by: Smarker
Product is not intended for hot water use. Average water temperature from tap is 50 degrees. Thank you for shopping at The Home Depot.

Does this have a male and female end, or two males, or two females.

Asked by: Fred
Hi Fred, This hose is just like a standard hose, just shorter in length. So, yes, it has a male and a female.

5/8 in. Dia x 15 ft. Short Length Water Hose is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse hose I ever purchased. This hose is the only one offered that is the perfect length for me. However, when pressurized with water, it is like a sausage skin with lumps all over that appear as if ready to burst. It is very difficult to move to different positions when pressurized. It is the worse hose that I ever purchased. Home depot, go back to the gray and white one that you carried just before this one. Then I will replace this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really not too impressed. I bought this to go from my farm faucet to my cantaloupe bed. When I hooked it to the faucet it seemed thin. Also, the picture is not what the hose looked like. It was a very cheap green vinyl hose. For the quality I would expect it to be priced for less than half of what it's priced. I'm just hoping it will last for at least a year. I think I would probably had been better off by using a drip line hose. Honestly the hose looked like a piece of scrap seconds from the factory.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice hose - LOUSY Fittings Purchased this hose for a custom installation at a customer’s home. Installation required cutting off the male end to shorten hose for an exact fit, so warrantee is out the window. Hose started leaking a little more than one week after installation. Leak is at female crimp connection, so tightening etc will not fix. Purchased female end for repairs and will have to fix it myself. I’m finding more and more that these cheap thin metal fittings on hoses are too easily bent, or corroded (they look like brass plated tin), it’s almost to the point that I’ll buy the HD brass repair ends to start with. I’ll not be buying this product again, and will tell others not to as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from extender hose The hose blew within a week of the purchase. I did not know it until my neighbor told me she had a river going in to her lawn. I am dreading my next water bill as I do not know how long it was running.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fittings leaked! Not the quality required. I needed a short hose and dislike wasting water because of leaking parts. This hose has poor quality ends. Not wanting to head back to Home Depot I just cut off the bad end. I then visited the local Hardware store and purchased a quality end and installed that. I wish I would have not purchase this model, only wanted a short "Quality" hose, this is not quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaky The joint between the hose and the metal end leaks seriously. I've never seen a hose leak so much. Don't buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not suitable for my application I was looking for a short hose to connect to a difficult to reach spigot and then to a more convenient one (that sticks into the ground). Unfortunately, the instructions on the hose advise against such an applilcation, saying the hose is not intended to be kept under pressure. Too bad. Not recommended for this application. Probably just fine for watering your patio plants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Short Garden Hose at a Low Price... I needed a short hose to fill my pool using a hose bib nearby. This one was exactly what I was looking for: 1. It has regular Male/Female connectors in case I want to extend it or connect a spray nozzle to it. 2. It stows neatly in the (small) storage cabinet near my pool. 3. Using Home Depot's "Ship to Store" option I paid the low internet price without a shipping fee. While I don't know how long it will last- given that I only use it maybe once monthly- I think it's all I'll need for the foreseeable future.
