This box is great for general purpose storage. Yes it may not be the prettiest box, but it is great for high value and quantity. If you want a pretty box, buy one at 2x or 3x the price. Yes the label might be hard to get off one side, turn the label towards the back of the shelf! Some of the lids have required effort in the past to snap on, my latest batch seem to be a lot better. I have about a hundred of these total now for craft supplies, tools and hardware, shoes, etc. They stack well, with a lip so they will not slide off each other. They are pretty clear, easy to see through, overall great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by DavidD Excellent for the price. Must buy if your organizing.
I am stunned at the negative reviews. Its not like you can't see the product in the store and open it out of the box or something. What you see is what you get.
I bought 200 of these to organzize not just shoes, but pretty much everything so I can easily find later.
-Clear, see through all around. I had old ones that were foggy that I replaced.
- About 10% of lids at the store bent or does not close properly. Just filter these out. They are easy to find.
- Like one user said, label is impossible to remove. It didnt bother me, I left them all on and just label the other side.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by jms30s lids are warped
The "HDX" brand is a very clear box, nice size but the majority of lids available do not close. I did not find any good lids in the current batch available at 2 stores. They are warped and do not straighten out even after several days of piled on heavy books. I've returned the recently purchased batch. If it is a must that the lid closes, don't get a warped lid.Otherwise, it is a good container.
A few months back Home Depot offered a "ShoeBox" brand at the same price, just as clear and the lids do what they are suppose to...snap close. Hope HD brings them back!
No comment on the labels...we place conten photos over them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by MrsM it costs a buck and change
I purchased 30 of these little guys. They hold my shoes nicely with the exception of my very high heals. I also use them to organize holiday decorations and tea ware in my buffet table. They cost a buck so don't expext much more than storage. The manufacture label
can be removed with goof off or undo. Some of the lids do not nestle well soi use those in the middle or bottom of the stack. But for a buck and change they get the job done :)

They close and stack perfectly. You buy something similar, pay $4 each and have the ability to stand on them, but I need them to organize my stuff. To remove the label, wipe over label with a little acetone, and label peals off perfectly. (use very little on a cloth, wipe on the label, not the plastic) OR - Turn the label side towards the wall :)
