Yes, this can be used for range hoods. Use a cord length not less than 18 inches and not more than 3 feet. An outlet receptacle with its own individual branch circuit is required if the maximum load of utilization equipment fastened in place is going to exceed 50 percent of the branch circuit rating.

Yes, as long as the original cable you're replacing is a 3-prong cable like this one is with a Neutral (white), Hot (black), and Ground (green). Most window units just use a 3-prong cable like you'd see with most computer desktop cables.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice if you can install the cord as prepared - no wire stripping or separation required. I had to install this cord on a kitchen hood. The separation between the hood terminal posts required me to split the wires apart. This is very difficult because the insulation is molded directly to the wires. Had to buy a second cord since I ruined the first. July 12, 2012
