Answer:
The Carbon Household Filter is designed to last up to 3 months. If you experience a drop in water flow before this time frame, that is an indication that the filter should be replaced.

Answer:
It is factory recomended to change these filters every 3 months. If water begins to have an odor or a funny/different taste (chlorinated or irony) this is a great indication it's time to change the filter.

Answer:
It is recommended every 3 months. However after heavy rains if on a well water system or when the water seems to be running slower than usual or has clay like coloration are great times to change filters.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 48 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable!! The 30 micron water filters I was using, just didn't remove enough solids and our washing machine along with our tankless hot water heater strainers would plug within a week! Changing over to these more efficient carbon filters, not only eliminated the plugging problem, but removed the slight trace of odor from our drinking water. So far I have used (1) for approximately (5) weeks without replacing it, and have not noticed any reduction in water pressure. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Product These water filters are an excellent value and very easy to install. The quality of drinking water will be greatly improved after they are installed. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HDX Carbon filter is better than the GE We were going to order carbon filters online because of the low capacity of the GE carbon filters stocked by HD. When HD got their HDX carbon filters we tried them They had the capacity of previous carbon filters we used. Now the HDX are no longer stocked at our store. They are a great filter and would recommend to anyone. If HD is considering discontinuing them like they have at our store we will buy them online. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot whole house water filters Have tried various filter brands to save money and most have only lasted barely 30 days before noticing our water pressure drop do to a clogged filter, but these Home Depot filters are great! They last a full 3 months for a reasonable price. Only complaint is that they are not well stocked in store. After making three trips to find them, I finally ordered online and had them ship to store for pickup so no shipping charges. September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by carbon filters Good quality and filter is good quality. Would recommend this product again August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected Wished there was more in stock when I go to the store. Seems like this item is being phased out or something.. it's a shame since it keeps the water tasting good out of the faucet. HD must have redone the aisle it's usually on and I couldn't find it. When I saw where they had stocked it, none were available. Store on Narcoossee and Lee Vista in Orlando. July 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff!!! Purchased this twice now, and they do the trick, fast and easy to install, and they fit perfect. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great whole-house Water Filter I installed the first filter in my household water line. It appears to be working great. It definitely catches the iron in the water. Thank you and I hope you continue to sell them in the future. Ronnie June 2, 2015
