This little cutter is awesome for the price.... I have got my money's worth out of it.... It's not an everyday pro cutter, but for light home stuff ... it's small size works great in tight places......
It will cut up to 3/4" CPVC pipe...... I use it for cutting older CPVC pipe that has been on the house awhile... stuff gets brittle and the scissor type PCV cutter shatters the pipe.....
To let this cutter cut 3/4" CPVC pipe, screw the cutter all the way in then push the roll pin stop on the side out with small screwdriver or needle nose plies so the cutter will open up just a tad more..... when you are done, just put the roll pin back in place so the cutter wont fall apart in your tool box.......

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MoeDaPlumber DO NOT BUY THIS CUTTER!
This cutter will NOT make a clean cut!
Too much play in the cutter wheel and too much play in the vise jaws.
If you want to "thread" copper spirals it will do okay.
See my pic of what you can expect from this cutter.
That was done in my shop, not under the house in freezing weather which is where I was when I realized how sorry this cutter is. Nothing I tried would help. Yes, I am experienced with pipe cutters.
You've been warned! I'll be wanting a refund for this miserable experience!

This tubing cutter is great in tight places but without the guide wheel and using a slip glide makes cutting tubing a little more difficult. But that is the trade off when the space is small when cutting tubing.

im not usually a review person but I absolutely felt I had to on this one. worst tool I have ever used. cutter wheel is so loose in thw tool that it just walks up and down the pipe basically threading it and not cutting at all. not even worth the 7$. I will take it back and hopefully get a refund or at minimum throw it at the person working the returns.

I bought this tool because I had to cut a pipe in a tight area and my regular pipe cutter was too big. This did not work at all. Instead of going around in a circle, the cutter spiraled around more like it was making threads. I tried it on a piece of pipe that was not in the wall to see if I could get it to work but there was nothing that I could do to get it to go around in a circle and meet up with the cut that was started. I think that this tool is flawed. My other cutter has a wheel on the non-cutting side which rolls as the cutter is turned on the pipe. This cutter does not, so it spirals. I took mine back for a refund. I had to use a hacksaw instead.

Would not cut a piece of 1/2" cooper pipe. Cutter just slide down the pipe like it was cutting threads. Cutting wheel was loose I tried to tighten it and the screw stripped out. Very disappointed!!

This really isn't even worth it for a homeowner that will only make one repair with it. This cutter brand new left such a burr on the 1/2" pipe that I wore out a small roll of emery cloth sanding down just a couple of cuts to the point where the pieces would slip on and off to rough fit it before I sweat it. For a couple of dollars more you can buy one from Home Depot that has the bottom rollers that doesn't burr the pipe anywhere near as bad, save your sanity and spend the extra couple of dollars
