At work, I use the Ridgid version of this tubing cutter. I needed one for my personal use and decided to try this one at about half the price of the Ridgid. It wouldn't work. period. It wouldn't stay on track well enough to cut through the 1/2" copper. The cutting wheel does not spin true. I got lucky and was able to borrow a cutter from a nearby plumber... worked great. Tomorrow am it gets traded in. Fortunately, I know Home Depot will take it back. I've done maintenance, construction, and handyman work for many years.

When your in a pinch due to your tools are on the other side of the mountains, they will work. For every day use I wouldn't recommend.

Not good. Save yourself some time, and buy a Rigid. That's what I did after returning this product. What a difference! The Rigid cuts so much better and quicker. The knob handle on this cutter was very hard to turn while cutting, also it seemed to want to wander a bit until you get a groove.

This lasted a total of 2 cuts. Very hard to tighten cut, doesn't track straight and screw holding cutter wheel kept coming loose. Cuts took more than 5 minutes each for 1/2" copper tubing.

Real simple and works great. There were more expensive versions and I thought about using a saw but this is way easy to use.
