Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great addition to the nail gun family I regularly use my 15 gauge and 18 gauge nail guns for my wood working projects. This 23 gauge pin nailer is a great addition. The small size of the pins, even compared to a 18 gauge nail, is amazing. The pins hold any decorative trim in place with almost no sight of the nail holes. This is vital for any non-painted projects, where wood patch will be seen. The pins are easy to load. There is a simple adjustment for pin length. The nail gun has a trigger lock, but no lock out mechanism on the tip. Meaning you can shoot pins across the garage if you're not careful. However, this also has a benefit because you don't have to press the tip onto the wood to shoot the pin, thus avoiding marking the surface. There is no depth adjustment, but the pins are driven consistently about 1/16" past the tip of the gun. The air pressure doesn't have much of an effect on the depth. This means you can nail thin pieces without driving the pin all the way through. Since the pins don't have a head it is easy to pull the wood pieces apart. However, if you shoot the pins in at different angles you can lock the pieces together making it harder to pull apart. December 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HDX Micro Pinner I like this pinner. It is light weight, comfortable grip, easy to load, easy to adjust for pin length and quiet. I used the pinner on my latest piece of furniture and very happy with the way it works. I can't find any cons on this tool. This is the first HDX tool I ownand sure glad I do. If I was to state a con it would be no case or bag comes with it, but I really didn't need one since I put it in the bag with my P C air tools. After using the pinner I asked the wife to spot where they were. She didn't find a one. She thought they were little worm holes or part of the way the wood was. Like I said I really like this tool and glad to have it as part of my workshop. November 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Value I build small jewelry and presentation boxes and I find brad nailing the mitered corners helpful during glue up. the problem is the 18 gauge nailer I have leaves a pretty big hole to hide afterwards. This nailer is the perfect solution for this and any other application where a small nail is needed but hiding the hole is difficult. I used this nailer to build a couple of projects over the weekend and I found it performs well and leaves behind an almost indiscernible hole. One thing to note, do not apply heavy pressure on the tip when firing or the actuator that pushes the pin will leave a mark. A little practice first will help you figure that out. I've only fired about 50 pins through the gun so far but the operation has been flawless. No jams and the recoil is almost nonexistent. As for the value. There are much more expensive nailers out there but this one is doing exactly what I want it to do and it is priced as much as 1/2 of some of the others on the market. Bottom line - no negatives about this tool. It does the job it is intended to do and is priced to be affordable for the DIYer. A+++ tool that I'm pleased to have in my shop. January 10, 2014
