The only thing these towels are good for is staining everything they touch red. I used them to wipe down a desk I was staining. They gave it a really nice cherry color (whether I liked it or not). They also made my hands red, the sink I rinsed them in red, the counter I put them on while wet red, etc. So I put the rest in the washing machine on hot. 10 times so far. All made the water so red you couldn't see the bottom. They also stained the plastic (yes, I'm going to hear it from the wife). Hopefully the red dries and doesn't make my underwear and socks pink (we'll know in a day or two when I'm done trying to get the towels to stop bleeding). I would never buy these again. (unless I had something I needed to stain red).

People figured out how to set dyes long ago. These are junk. If you use these you will have your hands dyed red. I complained to the store manager where I bought these and her response was "what do you expect from a shop rag"? Well I expect that I can use it without having everything dyed - my hands, clothes and things I am trying to clean. I regularly use shop rags but these are definitely worthless. i also expect the when thrown away the red dye is not good to put in a land fill.

Another HDX product that is extremely poor quality! These handy shop towels will cause you more mess than the mess you are trying to clean up. When moistened the red die in the towels comes out and will give you problems. Do not purchase!!!

These rags work great, must use common sense when first using. I use them for commercial cleaning, they clean and don't leave any lint behind. Before use wash them in bleach on hot, hot water and dry them longer than you need to. Might take a couple washes, but they won't run red after that. I clean mine and re-use, about 40 per year is what I buy, very cost effective and sturdy.
