This is a great value. I use the cloths for misc. clean up and random uses. There are so many in the bag that it seems like no matter how many are used and discarded & there is still plenty. There are several different types of material within one bag. Some of the varieties have better qualities for absorption and cleaning than others. It is just a matter of finding what works best for each individual application. I prefer using these over cutting up old tshirts. I always like to send my old clothing to good will or comparable service for someone in need. These are great & I would strongly recommend!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tom3 Good amount of assorted texture rags.
I can never have enough rags when I'm working on a project. This is a nice bag of rags. Looks like it mostly consists of remnants. Some big, some small. They come in three different textures that I've seen so far, standard cotton t-shirt type fabric, ribbed thsirt fabric and something that has a little more texture and thickness that looks like a terrycloth towel on one side.
The edges aren't finished and they do shed a little so if you're using them for stain or wipe-on poly fold them so the edges aren't exposed.

These are a very nice wiping cloth to have around for many cleanup tasks including painting, floor cleaning and polishing, car interior, windows, boats, and sinks. They also work great for dusting. Each cloth is about 6 inches by 9 inches. They are made of stretch knits. They look like they might be end of bolts cut and packaged. States that they are combinations cotton, rayon and/or polyester. Those are fibers that I can use for some of my crafts as well as just cleaning!! A great addition to the collection of old undershirt and towels. 4 lbs. is a pretty large bag and there are a lot of cloths in there!!

These are handy rags and there are a bunch in the package! They are mixed fabrics, with some being cotton and some synthetic (rayon & polyester). For my use, all cotton would be better. I used them for cleaning up a CV joint I was rebuilding and they worked great. the cotton is better on the oil & grease than the synthetics. An economical bag of rags for those messy jobs!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathleen A bag of t-shirt scraps; endless possibilities
This is essentially a 4lb bag of cut up white t-shirts. My guess is these are scraps from a factory somewhere.
I used these to clean my kitchen in conjunction with glass cleaner and stainless steel cleaner. These work great, and don't leave any streaks or annoying paper residue that paper towels would leave. The best part about using t-shirt scraps? They are machine washable. So, once one gets saturated with cleaner, I can send it through the washer. I imagine this will save me quite a bit on paper towels.
My husband was able to use these to stain wood; although messy (gloves required), they work just as well as a sponge brush to distribute stain. They are also great to wipe of dust after sanding wood projects.
I wouldn't describe these as high quality or durable--they are just t-shirt material scraps. If you're looking for something that will last, maybe get some bar towels instead. But these will work great for your everyday use and are cheap enough to throw away without feeling guilty.
One note on the packaging; it's stuffed to the brim, so if you open the bag expect them to come out easily. You might need to transfer these to another container. What I did was cut a small slit in the middle of the bag, and remove the scraps like tissues.

If you do a lot of furniture restoration, these are great cloths for wiping stains, wiping poly, gel stains or doing faux finishes like liming, blending, etc. Nice tee shirt type material and if you use them for cleaning, they wash well without fraying. This is a very large quantity and you'll not run out of them any time soon. My husband even borrowed a few for doing his mechanic and car detail work.

I received a 4-lb bag of Painters Rags. The package contained several different sizes and textures. It had a mix of ribbed and thin weaved material. Some were heavy duty and some were thin and small. I personally don't have much need for the small thin material, however, I did use one of them to clean the screen on my cell phone since it was soft enough and would not scratch it.
