$177.00 /each

Product Overview

HOME-FLEX Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing or CSST is great for installation of gas appliances. CSST easily snakes into attic and basements areas, around corners and bends, and through walls. Much easier to work than steel pipe, uses fewer fittings, and weighs a lot less too. Certification through manufacturer is recommended before installing CSST.

  • Bends around corners eliminating need for additional joints and fittings
  • Use coordinating CSST fittings
  • Great for seismic areas - ridged pipe often leaks after even small tremors
  • CSA and IAPMO certified
  • Installers should be certified to install HOME-FLEX CSST, to become certified visit homeflex.com

Hi KT, Yes, but there is a lot that you need to know and consider before you decide the best way to route the CSST. It is important to read the entire System Design and Installation Manual and register prior to beginning installation. The Installation Manual is available at The Home Depot Stores that carry our product at no charge, plus it is available on our website. Read More

I asked Google your question. The results were interesting to say the least. The general consensus is ccst is not safe for oxygen due to leaks at the fittings.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and system First you MUST read the online instructions they cover sizing, assembly, routing, securing and bonding. Plus the manufacturer has videos. Very easy to install. After the local Gas company found 23 leaks in the old black pipe system, I redid everything in Home-Flex except the fist 20 ft from the gas meter which I re-doped and re-assembled the original black pipe. As for leaks absolutely none in the Home-Flex - tested at 10 psi for 1 hr with compressed air. Just passed final inspection from the Gas company, purged lines - no leaks - gas is back on. Let me clear up a couple of incorrect reviews - the black O-ring does not seal the fitting - it is there to keep gunk from getting under the jacket - see instructions for using tape if you lose the o-ring. Also replacement brass retainer ring, o-rings and fitting non-metallic gasket are available at HD both online and at stores that carry Home-Flex. A tip that may help you make a leak free connection the first time - I took a metal file to each cut end, removed any burs or uneven cuts before assembly - if you look at the instructions burs are a common reason for a leaky connection. Finally the 1 inch by 3/4 inch manifold in my photo is only available by special order from HD - you won't find it at the stores or on the web site. September 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TERRIBLE!! This is a TERRIBLE product. Almost half of my joints leaked. Do yourself a favor. Take the training for tracpipe or wardflex or any other csst pipe other than homeflex. The lead ring seal in the fittings is a horrible design flaw. Not nearly as effective as a flared joint made in other csst pipe. Never again for me. August 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flexible and easy to use First and foremost, if you're thinking of buying this and installing the gas line yourself, make sure you watch the videos on the HomeFlex website. They state clearly that you must be qualified to make air-tight connections before doing any installation, and being qualified just means watching the videos and reading the online instructions before you actually try to run a gas line. The videos/instructions online are pretty clear on how to properly make the connections air-tight, including making sure you use a proper cutter to avoid having burrs that can cause leaks. I wouldn't recommend trying to install this prior to visiting the manufacturer's website for instructions (unless you're a pro who installs gas lines all the time, and even then I'd see the manufacturer's specs). Because the hose is flexible, it's ideal for applications such as installing/moving a gas range in a kitchen remodel. We have access to our crawl space, so it was easy to get the hose exactly where we needed it when we moved our range. Note that some appliances such as dryers are not supposed to be directly connected to this line but require a valve between the tubing and the dryer. August 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install When my wife and I decided to remodel our kithcen my wife wanted a gas oven. I was not looking forward to removing the bulkhead in our finished basement just to run the black pipe. When I found home flex I got excited. The whole install took only two hours. I fished the csst through the bulk head and connected both ends with no leaks. Were is the easy botton? March 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don´t Even Think I would suggest you don´t even think about buying this product. My licensed and certified installer could not get it to seal. I checked other reviews, maybe some of those folks got a better product and were successful. I am among those that are disappointed in the product. April 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CSST Great... Home-Flex Horrible! STAY AWAY!! I purchased the Home-Flex CSST system to run about 75' of new gas line under my house. I spent the next 2 weeks trying to fix the leaks. If you torque the nuts well past the 62 ft-lb requirement, you can get the leaks to a minimum. I'd typically lose 1/2 psi per day if I started at 15 psi. It's enough to get you past an inspection, but not quality work. Yesterday I finally gave up and pulled it all out and replaced with Pro-Flex from Lowes. I've had the pressure at 15 PSI for almost 24 hours now and it hasn't changed at all. With the Pro-Flex system I didn't have to re-do a single connection; they all worked the first time. There seems to be enough complaints about Home-Flex that Home Depot should really pull the product so more people aren't wasting their time on this product. November 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Corners...No Problem This is the first time I’ve used this in place of steel pipe. It’s clean, easy to handle, snakes easily, flexes around corners well and is easy to see after installation. I used it to install a tankless water heater. Just drilled my holes and snaked it thru, There was no cutting, sizing and fitting nipples, Just put a connector on each end and you’re done, you don’t need to buy additional fittings. If you’ve worked with black pipe before you will be amazed at the time savings as well as keeping your hands cleaner and making it easier to work. A great and quality made product. December 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by leaks the video shows a pair of channel lock pliers tightening nut. I used a 1 1/2 inch wrench and it still leaked. January 10, 2015
