This is a construction grade film made largely of recycled materials. Although it is considered "clear" opacity will vary and the product will never be window-pane clear.

I wrapped my chicken coop in the late fall, but the plastic wasn't specifically for exterior use and has gotten brittle. It will very likely tear as the season gets worse. I need a heavy, clear product that will not get brittle in very cold weather. Will this 6 mil polyethylene sheeting work?

Answer:
I wonder why it got brittle. i am using a 4mil plastic (tho not clear) in frames for my porch to keep out the winter and pollen. The same plastic has been used for the 3rd consecutive winter without replacement for brittleness. i was considering buying this as a replacement plastic for the frames.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as advertised This product is advertised as clear but it is white. I bought it to cover plants but light cannot pass through it. I was disappointed. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed purchase The product was listed as clear....but was not what I would call clear.....it was milky and somewhat see through. I needed a perfectly clear product that I could see through like a window. I feel it was misrepresented in the description. December 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I was very disappointed that the 6 mil(?) drum liner was so flimsy - not like liner purchased in the past, with four tie tabs. I question whether this product is 6 mil polyethylene. October 20, 2015
