Pros: Microwave is much quieter than the one I replaced. Heats fast and evenly. nice cooktop lights and exhaust fans.
Cons: My previous over the range microwave was 16" high and a granite backsplash was installed aferwards leaving only 16 1/8 " Purchased this microwave based on reviews and advertised size specifications 15 3/4 " high. Actual size was 16 3/8" high. I ended up removing my cabinet, cutting down to size and reinstalling to make room for the microwave. Total installation time was almost 3 hours. once installed I noticed an interior piece was made out of cardboard...I called the manufacturer and they stated this was a permanent part, the wave guide cover. The instructions suggested I would have to install a carbon filter but I didn't see one in the accessories. I removed the cover and found the filter already installed, but both retaining clips were broken...is this a new microwave? The door opens and closes clunky and loud, feels cheap. If I knew I would have to modify my cabinet I would have purchased a different model, but at the end of the day its just a microwave

great instructions, mounting template flimsy(glued it to cardboard for stiffness) so far performs excellent.
side panels look tacky(exposed screw heads and indexes)
Covered with fridge magnets.

Although the installation was a bit touch-and-go for a bit, we were able to get it installed and now its working great. Its such a huge change from our old microwave, and the space it frees up is priceless.

Pretty good product. A pain in the neck (literally) to install. I almost ruined my cabinet that hangs the microwave and completely messed up the dry wall behind. The instruction guide is very flimsy. So don't install it unless you have confidence and have some experience.
I have used it for 2.5 years and now that the protection grid just broke by itself. Really weird. The part of the plastic that was supposed to be secured by screws just snapped into pieces. Haier is not giving the grid for free but it is not expensive to replace either. Just wish I don't have to pay a lot of shipping charge for it.

I bought this microwave because it is smaller and does not hang down as close to the stove top as any other microwave. It has worked very well so far after a month or two. A very minor annoyance is that the ":" between the numbers on the clock perpetually blinks. A bigger annoyance was the installation. The wall bracket has two holes in it to allow space for the heads of screws that are in the back of the microwave. These were not quite large enough and had to be drilled out larger. Also, the schematic does not allow for the length of the installed back wall bracket. So, I had to drill another set of 3 holes above the microwave that were 1" further out from the wall.

Needed it to replace an old Kenmore that broke. The dimensions were perfect for my situation and I even used the old bracket. I only use it for warming up food and beverages, but it does that well. I like the 30 sec function, but opening and closing the door is rather loud (one of those pull out releases as opposed to a push button release). So far happy with purchase.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lin0987 Very quiet, large turntable, powerful fan
Went with the product based on price, size (to fit existing opening), & vent style. It was somewhat difficult to install, but managed to get it done in about 2 hours. It is very quite & cooks food very evenly. The only thing I did not like about it was the piece of cardboard inside that customer service says, "had to remain in the unit." something to with blocking the microwaves from escaping. Did not see this in other units, must be a cost saving measure. Also, don't like that when I use the "timer" for something in the oven I can not use the microwave, won't work.
