Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MissMinny Better than I expected
After many days researching what the best portable AC was, I realized Haier customers rated it better than the LG mostly because is self evaporating, (wich means you don't have to drain it) At the beginning I thought it would spill over since you can hear the water moving around, but I haven't seen a drop on my carpet in the area I placed It. I wish it had a longer power cord so I could roll it over to the other places in my home I could use a temporary AC, and I'm still looking to see if I can find an extension to the exhaust hose too, that would give me more maneuverability.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhynno Air conditioner with great bang for the buck!
I purchased this air condition to cool a large master bedroom and master bath. It does that very well. The air conditioner it self was easy to assemble and setup. The only challenging thing was setting up the exhaust tube. I have set up several of these exhaust tubes, and I they are always the most difficult part. I will say the exhaust tube included with this air conditioner was the easiest setup I have ever assembled. It is well thought out, the pieces have very good fitment, and the attachment was simple. All the parts of the exhaust system are made from thicker plastic, which really helps them stay connected. The remote control is a nice feature, as I can adjust the air conditioner without having to get out of bed at night. I have run it all day and into the night, and haven't had any issues with drainage. The exhaust tube is about 8 inches in diameter, so after it is attached to the back of the machine, comes out, and makes the turn to go up to the window, it adds quite a bit of depth to the area the machine takes up. I would say you need to allow a minimum 3 feet from the front of the air condition to the wall for the exhaust tube to make its minimum bend to go up to the window. I am very happy with this unit so far!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kaka This portable A/C is great!!
This portable a/c unit is amazing. Blows very cold air out and is extremely easy to operate. It actually gets so cold that I have to change the temperature. It's been a hot summer and this has saved me. It is also easy to take into any room. Just make sure your window measurements will fit the hose. My window is a little too small but the unit still works perfectly.

We are using this to cool our small office server room. It instantly brought the temp of the room down and we are no longer experiencing our servers shutting down due to overheating. Would totally recommend it for this use.

A few pictures and video will be included with this review.
If you have any question please feel free to leave a comment on the video attach.
The manual I receive was different from the one shown on the website. I also receive a different Window Kit, not the one shown on the website manual and some videos on YouTube. The Window Kit I got is much better allowing you to adjust the panel better with 3 panel pieces. This window panel also allows you to screw it to the window/wall. A adhesive foam strip and pad was also included in my box. I think I receive a new version/revision of the model.
This Portable Air Conditioner is one of the best purchase I have made. It cools the room perfectly and quickly. This unit includes a auto-evaporation system which allow continuous operation without draining unless you are using Dehumidify Mode. The unit is loud when the compressor kicks in but its tolerable. It isn't as loud as other Portable AC units which I like because some of those other units are very very very loud. I love how on the Home Depot website, it shows the "SPECIFICATIONS" for each product. All you need to look is look for is "Decibel Rating" and that number will tell you how loud the unit is. The Haier CPN10XCJ has a decibel rating of 49 dBa which is tolerable. The lower the number the quieter the unit.
The "Haier 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Dehumidifer and Remote" is an excellent product. If you want a reliable Portable AC, I recommend you get this one or the 12,000/14,000 btu model. Haier makes the best Portable Air Conditioner in the Market.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mary Excellent Product & Value
I have owned other portable air conditioners in the past. I love the fact that this one is self contained which means no buckets of water to empty. The sound is not loud - it's very compatible with any other that I've heard. I have one in each bedroom. Turn it on, close the door, and the room is at the temperature that I selected within 10 minutes. I love that I don't loose the ability to still open the window and enjoy the fresh air when I want that instead. It's perfect. When I'm not using the unit, I simply detach the hose and roll the unit into the closet. Has made my life so much easier. Excellent product, excellent value for the money.

I live in Atlanta, GA, and though it hasn't been a typical Georgia summer, in terms of heat, this A/C unit has already convinced me that when those days come, it will be ready. The area I am dealing with includes my room (12'X14') and a connected bonus room (12'X20'). So the total area I've dealt with (so far) slightly exceeds the total area the unit is rated to be able to cool. And let me tell you, it makes it look easy. When people are over, I just turn the fan speed up to MEDIUM (instead of the default of LOW) on the unit and place a fan in my room to help circulate the cool air to the bonus room through the doorway. People are shocked at how effective this is. In terms of setup, I simply burrowed a hole to the storage space on the other side of a semi-exterior wall for the exhaust to go through. There, I have a fan venting the exhaust outside. I also put a thermometer/hygrometer in the storage to monitor heat and humidity. I must also mention that my room is directly above our garage, which was largely the reason behind my purchase of the unit. The trapped heat leaking into my room means that during the summer it's usually 5-10 degrees warmer than most of the house. Let's just say I've been running this unit for two weeks now (practically nonstop, save for a couple filter washings) and I've NEVER slept better. It is very quiet compared to window and portable units I've seen in the past. It becomes a little louder when the compressor kicks on, but you wouldn't even have to raise your voice to accommodate. I have a TV that's about 8 feet from the unit, and when the compressor turns on, I might have to turn the volume up slightly, but it is still very tolerable. It took longer than I expected to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. Make sure you let the unit stand before using it, to let the refrigerant settle in case it was tilted at some point. The manual says to wait 24 hours. Overall, this unit exceeded my expectations, by far. I was hesitant about the investment at first, but the unit speaks for itself. I have no regrets. Simply awesome.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PeeceeWizard Disappointed after 5 months use
I bought this unit in March 2013 for use in a small computer room. Worked well for 5 months, then I received an alert from my computer system telling me the temperature in the room was over 100 degrees. A/C fan was still blowing, but no cold air. Further investigation showed pieces of the exhaust fan (pushes hot air outdoors) extending out of the cabinet. Turning the unit off/on would allow cold air for about 60 seconds, but when the exhaust fan wouldn't turn on, the unit would switch from cooling to fan-only. I called Haier support and told them the problem, however they said a technician would need to be dispatched. The technician arrived 2 days later, and verified the exhaust fan had come apart. Of course, "there are too many different models to stock every part," so the part needed to be ordered. I was told 7-10 days for arrival of the parts! It's been a week today since the technician was here, and we've had the hottest days of the year this past week..
Update: It's been over a month, and the unit is still broken. Support has been non-existant. Have spoken to support 3 times - even asked for my case to be escalated to a supervisor, but was told they were busy..
Last update: After almost 7 months (and opening a case with my state attorney general's office), I finally received a check from Haier, although they didn't refund the sales tax. I suppose this is a lesson learned..
