Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Akshiak does what its supposed to.
the product satisfies all I need. dehumidifier, air conditioner and the default fan that its set to when the desired temperature is reached.
2 complaints are even though the product listed the dimensions it seemed a bit bigger and it doesn't consider the amount of space the hose will take up. as with any portable air conditioner always consider the bulkiness of them. the hose is about 5 inches in diameter and it doesn't make sharp bends so a good amount of space will be wasted between your window and your conditioner. its sort of an eye sore but its something you have to deal with any portable air conditioner. the remote is simple and the whole product is easy to maintain. no resupplying of any kind and I got it for about 40 dollars cheaper than the retail price after some research.
my last complaint is that the window seal is sorta cheap and flimsy and it was only manufactured for wood framed windows. I have a plastic framed window so i can't drill into it. the seal is also not to adaptable to the size of the window and part of was exposed before i sealed it myself with something else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhynno Air conditioner with great bang for the buck!
I purchased this air condition to cool a large master bedroom and master bath. It does that very well. The air conditioner it self was easy to assemble and setup. The only challenging thing was setting up the exhaust tube. I have set up several of these exhaust tubes, and I they are always the most difficult part. I will say the exhaust tube included with this air conditioner was the easiest setup I have ever assembled. It is well thought out, the pieces have very good fitment, and the attachment was simple. All the parts of the exhaust system are made from thicker plastic, which really helps them stay connected. The remote control is a nice feature, as I can adjust the air conditioner without having to get out of bed at night. I have run it all day and into the night, and haven't had any issues with drainage. The exhaust tube is about 8 inches in diameter, so after it is attached to the back of the machine, comes out, and makes the turn to go up to the window, it adds quite a bit of depth to the area the machine takes up. I would say you need to allow a minimum 3 feet from the front of the air condition to the wall for the exhaust tube to make its minimum bend to go up to the window. I am very happy with this unit so far!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MissMinny Better than I expected
After many days researching what the best portable AC was, I realized Haier customers rated it better than the LG mostly because is self evaporating, (wich means you don't have to drain it) At the beginning I thought it would spill over since you can hear the water moving around, but I haven't seen a drop on my carpet in the area I placed It. I wish it had a longer power cord so I could roll it over to the other places in my home I could use a temporary AC, and I'm still looking to see if I can find an extension to the exhaust hose too, that would give me more maneuverability.

We are using this to cool our small office server room. It instantly brought the temp of the room down and we are no longer experiencing our servers shutting down due to overheating. Would totally recommend it for this use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kaka This portable A/C is great!!
This portable a/c unit is amazing. Blows very cold air out and is extremely easy to operate. It actually gets so cold that I have to change the temperature. It's been a hot summer and this has saved me. It is also easy to take into any room. Just make sure your window measurements will fit the hose. My window is a little too small but the unit still works perfectly.

A few pictures and video will be included with this review.
If you have any question please feel free to leave a comment on the video attach.
The manual I receive was different from the one shown on the website. I also receive a different Window Kit, not the one shown on the website manual and some videos on YouTube. The Window Kit I got is much better allowing you to adjust the panel better with 3 panel pieces. This window panel also allows you to screw it to the window/wall. A adhesive foam strip and pad was also included in my box. I think I receive a new version/revision of the model.
This Portable Air Conditioner is one of the best purchase I have made. It cools the room perfectly and quickly. This unit includes a auto-evaporation system which allow continuous operation without draining unless you are using Dehumidify Mode. The unit is loud when the compressor kicks in but its tolerable. It isn't as loud as other Portable AC units which I like because some of those other units are very very very loud. I love how on the Home Depot website, it shows the "SPECIFICATIONS" for each product. All you need to look is look for is "Decibel Rating" and that number will tell you how loud the unit is. The Haier CPN10XCJ has a decibel rating of 49 dBa which is tolerable. The lower the number the quieter the unit.
The "Haier 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Dehumidifer and Remote" is an excellent product. If you want a reliable Portable AC, I recommend you get this one or the 12,000/14,000 btu model. Haier makes the best Portable Air Conditioner in the Market.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mary Excellent Product & Value
I have owned other portable air conditioners in the past. I love the fact that this one is self contained which means no buckets of water to empty. The sound is not loud - it's very compatible with any other that I've heard. I have one in each bedroom. Turn it on, close the door, and the room is at the temperature that I selected within 10 minutes. I love that I don't loose the ability to still open the window and enjoy the fresh air when I want that instead. It's perfect. When I'm not using the unit, I simply detach the hose and roll the unit into the closet. Has made my life so much easier. Excellent product, excellent value for the money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CoolGuy Haire 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner
Incredible unit. I live in a second story condo near Chicago, Illinois and our weather can be so unpredictable. My unit uses hydro heat and AC and when the outside temp hits around 80 degrees and the humidity is high, it becomes unbearable inside. If the outside temp is 90 or above and the humidity is high, it becomes hard to even breathe. Bought this unit recently based on other good reviews and I have to say it is great. My unit is 1100 square feet with a 25 x 15 living room. On an 83 degree day with high humidity, I ran the unit in the living room for 20 minutes on the lowest setting, with our hydro AC shut off and it cooled the entire living room, connected kitchen and hallway to a very comfortable level (5 degree temp drop) and almost no humidity. Even our two bedrooms felt cooler by a couple of degrees. And, despite sucking most , if not all of the humidity out, it didn't leak a drop or need to be emptied, proving the self-evaporative system works like a charm. The thing is a bit of a brute weighing around 60 pounds, but it can be moved around easily as it is on casters and rolls smoothly. Noise-wise, it is a bit loud, but has a smooth and consistent sound. I had no trouble tuning it out on low. Medium and high speeds are certainly noticeable, but I doubt most people will even need to use them. Given the cooling efficiency of this unit, the noise is a fair trade in my opinion. One could run this thing on medium or high for a short time and leave it off for quite a while. Again, on low, this beast cooled around 525 square feet (living room, kitchen, hallway) to a comfortable level in only 20 minutes. Might even be extreme overkill for a smaller room like a bedroom. It's hard to sit or stand directly in front of it as the air coming out is so cold. I love this unit and was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed as I have used other brands in the past and have been disappointed. I know that Haier is often considered a "budget" brand, but I am sold on this unit. Would (and will) gladly recommend it.
