Rated 5 out of 5Â by Rhynno Air conditioner with great bang for the buck!
I purchased this air condition to cool a large master bedroom and master bath. It does that very well. The air conditioner it self was easy to assemble and setup. The only challenging thing was setting up the exhaust tube. I have set up several of these exhaust tubes, and I they are always the most difficult part. I will say the exhaust tube included with this air conditioner was the easiest setup I have ever assembled. It is well thought out, the pieces have very good fitment, and the attachment was simple. All the parts of the exhaust system are made from thicker plastic, which really helps them stay connected. The remote control is a nice feature, as I can adjust the air conditioner without having to get out of bed at night. I have run it all day and into the night, and haven't had any issues with drainage. The exhaust tube is about 8 inches in diameter, so after it is attached to the back of the machine, comes out, and makes the turn to go up to the window, it adds quite a bit of depth to the area the machine takes up. I would say you need to allow a minimum 3 feet from the front of the air condition to the wall for the exhaust tube to make its minimum bend to go up to the window. I am very happy with this unit so far!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kaka This portable A/C is great!!
This portable a/c unit is amazing. Blows very cold air out and is extremely easy to operate. It actually gets so cold that I have to change the temperature. It's been a hot summer and this has saved me. It is also easy to take into any room. Just make sure your window measurements will fit the hose. My window is a little too small but the unit still works perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MissMinny Better than I expected
After many days researching what the best portable AC was, I realized Haier customers rated it better than the LG mostly because is self evaporating, (wich means you don't have to drain it) At the beginning I thought it would spill over since you can hear the water moving around, but I haven't seen a drop on my carpet in the area I placed It. I wish it had a longer power cord so I could roll it over to the other places in my home I could use a temporary AC, and I'm still looking to see if I can find an extension to the exhaust hose too, that would give me more maneuverability.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Redfish Assembly problem
Ordered online. Assembly was going good until I tried to attach hose to unit and adapter would not couple to unit. Called Haier who advised adapter based on model number was correct. Haier requested I take pictures of the unit and adapter they manufactured and send to them. Called HD online customer service who was eager to correct. I was given several options and chose to take unit to the Daphne, AL store to let them see if it was operator error. Several HD associates tried without success to attach and concluded it was a defect. Decided to get a refund on the Haier and bought a 8,000 btu LG. Took it home assembled and it works great. I cannot rate the Haier on performance.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by abcd Makes room much more comfortable
The portable air conditioner has worked great and cools the room quickly and sufficiently. The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is because we are putting the exhaust tube out our patio door, but want to still be able to use the patio door as a door so we haven't screwed the tube's support structure in. Because of this we are moving the tubing every time we use it and the tubing does not secure into the machine very well and frequently pops out. However it has so far stayed in place during use, so isn't a big problem, just a minor inconvenience while trying to reattach the tube. Overall we are very pleased with the purchase and are glad to have the unit.
