The HLP141E compact dryer is powerful but takes up no floor space. It is a dryer that can be mounted on the wall above a compact washing machine or countertop providing the ultimate laundry center that is not bulky or inconvenient. This dryer is extremely efficient and uses a standard 110-Volt (120CVAC, 15 Amp) outlet, eliminating the need for special wiring that most dryers require. Perfect to use in an apartment or as a secondary dryer in a home or where frequent clothes washing is done. Haier makes compact washing machines that will fit underneath the mounted dryer and that can handle the same load capacity. Together they create an attractive set that gets clothes clean and dry while taking up less space and keeping energy costs low.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cost effective alternative. I wrote an earlier review about the capabilities of this dryer and after 1 month I can say I'm a satisfied customer! Yes it takes approx 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to dry a load on high heat but I expected this. My concern now was what my electric bill would look like. So here it is, I do 7-10 wash loads per week in my haier portable wash machine and then dried each load for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs (jeans and heavy items took 2 hrs), I just received my new electric bill and it only went up $6.80 (both washing machine and dryer cost) So about $1.70 per week to stay home and do laundry! I think even with the long running time this dryer is well worth buying. Like I said in my last review I bought this dryer here when it was on sale for $270 so I feel like I just won the apartment/laundry battle! Hope this helps. January 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great dryer ! I really wasn't sure how well it would work. IT WORKS GREAT ! especially for one person. The only adversity is that it does not come with extra lint exchange assembly. The lint assembly has to be changed almost every day it starts to break down after a while. because it is used so often because of size an extra lint assembly would be perfect. Thank you so much ! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth it to avoid the inconvenience This is the second unit that we have purchased. We purchased the original unit in the fall of 2010, when we moved into an apartment complex that does not have washer/dryer hookups, but does have onsight laundry. Yes, it does take longer to dry clothes, and this is because it runs on regular current (120v), and not the higher powered current of a regular dryer. If a person understands this going into the purchase of this unit, they will feel that it is well worth the cost. Someone who expects it to function like it's higher powered counterparts will be disappointed. But this disappointment has nothing to do with the dryer itself as it works exactly how it is designed to work and function. With the original unit, we first had trouble with it after about 3 years when one of (or maybe the only????) belt wore out. We replaced the belt ourselves, but it never functioned normally again. It was much louder, and eventually the dryer completely died after about another year. I'm sure that if we had a professional repair it, it would have gone much better, but at the repair rate, we did better extending it's life ourselves. While it was disappointing that it died after a little over 4 years, it was still worth the purchase. It costs us about $50-60 a month to pay for laundry, so this pays for itself in about 7 months. So if we have to replace it every 4 years, I'm okay with that. Also, having the convenience of drying our clothes at home instead of having to stick around the laudromat for hours is well worth the price and the longer drying time. It does seem like this recent model has been upgraded, as it feels as though it is better made. We shall see. It has been a little over a month now and it is working great! I believe it is even quieter than our previous model! We use an extension cord with ours, which it says not to, but we've never had a problem. But we do mostly try to use it while we are home. We make sure that it gets plenty of air circulation and that we hook up the vent in the recommended way. I also clean out the lint filter after every load, and unscrew the back (which is behind the lint filter) and vacuum that about every 2 weeks. This prevents the lint from building up inside the dryer. I would recommend taking the back of the dryer off and vacuuming it out about every 6 months or so as there is a lot of lint that builds up inside it. August 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Purchase The first load of towels dried great! Then the dryer quit working. It was showing an error code that the door was not closed, although it was firmly shut. Haier authorized a service call, but I spent a week on the phone with their service provider leaving [unanswered] messages trying to schedule the service. When I did talk to them, they told me the serial number I noted from the back of the dryer was not a valid number and they would not schedule a call. I finally took it back to Home Depot and got a cheerful refund. I then ordered another brand from Home Depot and it works great. August 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I sure made the RIGHT choice I absolutely love this dryer. I didn't want a full-size dryer, and this one is big enough to dry just about a full load of laundry and small enough to tuck in a corner when not in use. I don't know why some people have complained about the lint collector - it definitely doesn't come loose when the dryer is operating (I don't think they reattached it properly after cleaning) and there's no problem at all cleaning it (I use a Velcro lint brush that you use for clothing and it works just fine). I thought it would take longer to dry my clothes, but many times about 8 items (shirts, slacks) are done after about 45 minutes. I was surprised, too, how it really heats up at the high setting. And it's fairly quiet - I have it on a wooden cart, and when it's running and I'm in the next room or downstairs in the room directly under it, I can't hear it at all, which is GREAT because I live in a townhouse and there are neighbors on both sides of me, so I can even run it in the middle of the night and no one is disturbed. The ONLY thing I would change is the door - I wish it was a little easier to open and close. But that's nothing - I love the dryer. July 14, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cabin Laundry This works well at a seasonal cabin where only 110 is available. Saves us from hand washing or a 50 mile trip to town. It is in a shed close to the house and very easy to use. March 15, 2015
