From the box to the basement this unit has been working well. Is been about a month only time will tell like any thing else.
Set up was great the internal pump is performing as expected. The fan is some what loud but its in the basement and it circulates the air well which I can live with and our old unit was lacking. This provides more consistent dehumidifying.
At end of season looking for service center for basic maintenance so it will last at least a few years or more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BarBQLuvR Well-designed; easy-to-use
This dehumidifier is a well-designed, easy-to-use, efficient unit. The first one we received did not appear to be removing the humidity properly. We returned it without a problem at the local Home Depot and then reordered. The unit comes with a prepaid return shipping label if a return is needed and it is not convenient to return it to a store. Because a return is easy, there seems to be no downside to trying it.
The unit comes with a pump, a drain hose, and an easy-to-remove bucket with a handle. After an initial period of use, the unit appeared to remove humidity more quickly. The electronic controls are easy to understand and use. It has two levels for the fan. It has up and down arrows to easily adjust the humidity setting (in units of five degrees) to a low of 30% humidity. The actual humidity and temperature are displayed continuously to the nearest integer. It has a light denoting when the unit is defrosting. Another light indicates if the bucket has not been inserted properly. And of course, there is the power button. It comes with casters already attached. You only need to remove it from the box, take out the accessories from the water bucket, remove a few pieces of tape, and plug it in - about two minutes. The noise of the unit is what it is. For us, it is much quieter than our previous dehumidifier. We run it on low fan speed which is quieter. Some people may consider this same level of sound as noisy. For people who don’t have 100% hearing or for people who like loud music, this unit does not have a downside. It is also Energy Star rated

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Joel88 Drip, drip...Convert moisture in air to water on the floor!
This was a very disheartening purchase and I should have returned the product as soon as the issue of dripping from the left front corner of the water bucket started to occur. Essentially, this machine sucks all the moisture out of the air and onto my floor (see attached picture)! I thought because it was Haier branded product, it would be an easy, 'plug and play', however I have spent too much time on my hands and knees trying to 'jigger' the sealing between the tub and the main unit to no avail. I need to stop trying because I am ruining the tile on the floor because of all the water leakage. To the recycle dumpster this product goes. Save yourself the frustration and expense and do NOT purchase this product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SnowandIce Quality Product
Works well, it’s about 55db on high and about 45db on low. I connected the long drain tube so I don’t know how long it takes to fill the water bucket up but my guess would be a day depending on humidity levels. Overall I am very happy with the build quality and construction. I am using it in a garage to pull out the humidity as my truck dry’s from snow and ice so I am curious on how well it will last in a harsher environment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by shopforvalue very good dehumidifier, but a bit pricey
it is a bit pricey. however, got it for 4 months now, it works like a champ, extracts so much moisture and pumps out properly. i have the pump hose go about 10 feet long and then up about 5 feet and it still pumps out properly. so much water gets pumped out compared to the previous Delonghi we used before. this Haier one works great and does have auto restart. those who say it does not work properly does not know how to hook it up or set it up properly! i think it is discontinued simply because of end of summer season; nothing to do with its quality. i've got another Haier dehumidifier for front basement area and that one also works like a champ for 3 years now! i come to trust the Haier brand for dehumidifiers!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Good job dehumidifying basement (900 sq ft); quiet, easy to set up and run.
Unit was mailed/received within 5-days of ordering and very easy to set up. Do not like that the fan always runs -- even when the compressor is off; have learned to use the timer features to start/end running time, which works nicely. The unit's humidity gauge is about 8-10 points lower than a stand-alone temperature/humidity gauge unit located about 15-ft away. Overall, dehumidifier does a good job; I opted to use the bucket and not the hoses to drain the unit and this is very easily done.

Turn down the humidity level to your preference and the unit sucks the moisture out of the air. Wow!

The unit worked as advertised. I was worried that the pump would not work for a 8 ft lift. I had run the unit for a few hours to make shure it would work. When I plugged in the external hose that came with the unit (inside the front drawer), the internal pump immediately pumped the water that had accumulated in the unit up and over the 8 ft lift. I was happy.
