Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy It dries the area well but it has a very noisy fan that runs continuously. It is located in my woodworking shop and is as loud as any of the equipment in there. It is an annoying sound that normally has me cutting it off when working. You will hate it in a living area. It has been running during the easy winter months now for 5months with no issues. Do watch that the drain hole has a rubber plug. It is not high lighted in the manual. It took a few full buckets for me to figure it our. April 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great in basement I first got the similar SPT dehumidifier, but I couldn't get the pump to work. I returned that and got this one. It worked out of the box. It is annoying that the fan never shuts off, but since it's in the basement I don't really care; except for that I'd give it 5 stars. I set it to 40% or so when I first got it, but it's humid enough and large enough down there that it struggled to keep up. It did succeed in making the basement hot! Now it's set to 55% and it seems to acheive that without a problem. October 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good dehumidifier Works well, but more noisy than the previous one we had, which was also a Haier. October 7, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NOISY Loved the idea that this unit has a drain that can continuously let the water flow outside. Problem that I have is the noise & the fact that it never shuts off. Even if it reaches the desired humidity setting it will continue to run with the fan. Therefore it is "on" 24/7 & is quite noisy. Not happy with this purchase especially since I paid so much for it. Very disappointed. October 21, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great unit From the box to the basement this unit has been working well. Is been about a month only time will tell like any thing else. Set up was great the internal pump is performing as expected. The fan is some what loud but its in the basement and it circulates the air well which I can live with and our old unit was lacking. This provides more consistent dehumidifying. At end of season looking for service center for basic maintenance so it will last at least a few years or more. June 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well-designed; easy-to-use This dehumidifier is a well-designed, easy-to-use, efficient unit. The first one we received did not appear to be removing the humidity properly. We returned it without a problem at the local Home Depot and then reordered. The unit comes with a prepaid return shipping label if a return is needed and it is not convenient to return it to a store. Because a return is easy, there seems to be no downside to trying it. The unit comes with a pump, a drain hose, and an easy-to-remove bucket with a handle. After an initial period of use, the unit appeared to remove humidity more quickly. The electronic controls are easy to understand and use. It has two levels for the fan. It has up and down arrows to easily adjust the humidity setting (in units of five degrees) to a low of 30% humidity. The actual humidity and temperature are displayed continuously to the nearest integer. It has a light denoting when the unit is defrosting. Another light indicates if the bucket has not been inserted properly. And of course, there is the power button. It comes with casters already attached. You only need to remove it from the box, take out the accessories from the water bucket, remove a few pieces of tape, and plug it in - about two minutes. The noise of the unit is what it is. For us, it is much quieter than our previous dehumidifier. We run it on low fan speed which is quieter. Some people may consider this same level of sound as noisy. For people who don’t have 100% hearing or for people who like loud music, this unit does not have a downside. It is also Energy Star rated February 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Drip, drip...Convert moisture in air to water on the floor! This was a very disheartening purchase and I should have returned the product as soon as the issue of dripping from the left front corner of the water bucket started to occur. Essentially, this machine sucks all the moisture out of the air and onto my floor (see attached picture)! I thought because it was Haier branded product, it would be an easy, 'plug and play', however I have spent too much time on my hands and knees trying to 'jigger' the sealing between the tub and the main unit to no avail. I need to stop trying because I am ruining the tile on the floor because of all the water leakage. To the recycle dumpster this product goes. Save yourself the frustration and expense and do NOT purchase this product! June 19, 2013
