Only way you will be able to know if it is just right for your specific purpose is to order it and return it if it does not fit.

Answer:
Dear valued consumer, we would not recommend this. Why would you need to use two of them?

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Strong and of high quality. Easily seen in low light for aging eyes, it is a strong and bright. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Socket Extender I purchased the 1 in socket extender so that new LED bulbs would be flush with the edge of a 4" Halo eyeball recessed lighting fixture. Unfortunately the LED bulb now extends beyond the edge. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for can lights to enable use of LED bulbs These worked well in my IC ceiling lights so I can use a PAR 20 LED bulb. Home Depot had the lowest price I could find. August 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot Was Great Not much to review about the product since it's just a socket extender but Home Depot was great. Shipped quickly provided tracking # etc.. This product is hard to find and Home Depot had it at the best price also! June 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Socket Extender The H1999 socket extender is well built, much better than those available in the store. I wish I could say the same for the H99ICT that is is designed to work with. They have been nothing but a problem since then were installed. June 22, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Socket extender works as advertised. Does the job well. Installed in a recessed ceiling can, the device may not be concentric with its intended long axis, leaving the bulb off center. It could also be the can. April 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good experience. Best price I could find. Delivered in a timely fashion. Easily installed and worked as expected. July 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Definitely use these so you can use a brighter bulb I ordered 3 of these for the Halo H99ICAT 4-inch recessed lights. I have the 993W trim kit (white baffle trim) and with this socket extender, I can use a 50watt PAR20 bulb (Sylvania #14700 - this is a flood bulb, not a "spot") and it looks great. I have it on a dimmer and it looks great on full power or anywhere between. The trim gets pretty warm but I am using the manufacturer recommended trim kit, extender, and bulb wattage/type so I am not worried. Also, despite it getting hot, it has never clicked off (all the Halo housings have a thermal protection built-in that turn the bulb off when it gets too hot...comes back on once it cools). I thought the price was a little high for a basic porcelain extender but I wanted to use the official/recommended accessory to avoid any issues...plus I only needed 3 - if I had 15 or so I'd prob try to find an alternative. On a side note, I tried using the Halo 992W trim (wall-wash trim kit for the 4-inch) and I did not like it. I have the wall-wash trim kits on three 6-inch H7ICAT housings and it looks great...but the 992W trim with the 4-inch H99ICAT housing, H1999 extender, and 50w PAR20 bulb - the light leaks out between the trim ring and the ceiling drywall. In Halo's fairness, the 992W is NOT a "compatible" trim kit for the H99ICAT but I figured I'd try it. February 5, 2013
