How do I keep these lighting from making a buzzing sound?

I bought these and put 6 in my bedroom. The home depot person steered my towards a Lutron C-L Dimmer switch (model DVWCL-153PH-WH) and the lights now make a buzzing sound. The Halo box says that the lights are dimmable and the dimmable light switch says that it can handle LED 150W. As the Halo lights are just 10W this should be well within the range.

Can someone help me understand why my lights are buzzing? And what I need to do to make it stop?

Thanks!

This is the one I settled on and it does not buzz.

That dimmer should work just fine. I would check the dimmer to be sure the internal adjustment knob or dial, located on the front of the dimmer, behind the switch plate, has been adjusted properly. Remove the switch plate, turn on the lights, set the dimmer to minimum. Then, adjust the internal dial until the lights are at their dimmest without any buzzing. Remove the switch plate, turn on the lights, set the dimmer to minimum. Then, adjust the internal dial until the lights are at their dimmest without any buzzing. Turn the lights off, then back on to be sure they all come on. The photo shows a different dimmer than yours, but I'm pointing to the internal dial that should be adjusted. Your dimmers dial may be on the lower left of the dimmer. Read Less

This light fixture is made by Cooper Industries, under the Halo brand. They do not list a 4" gimbal LED fixture with a bulb rated above 3000K on their website.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Led fixture Easy installation , great color light dimmer compliant. Ordered on line and was available when I arrived as promised. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely high quality LED lights - very very pleased. I've installed 14 of these in three rooms of my house during the last 2 years and I have been extremely pleased with them. The light quality is excellent with crisp bright light that is indistinguishable from halogen PAR reflectors. The light color is 3000k which is brighter than typical 2700k LED (traditional light bulbs). The CRI rendering index of 91 is very high and you get very true colors underneath the light. This is not other LEDs that have low quality light that can give off hues and tones. The construction of light is superior to other brands with die cast metal housings and baked enamel finish. They are solid compared to other brands that utilize a plastic housing. This means, you won't have to worry about the housing and trim yellowing over time as the Halo housing is not plastic. The gimbal allows approx 35 degrees of tilt and 360 degrees of rotation. I have 30 degree sloped ceiling in three rooms of my house and they allow me to point the light straight down. Gimbal lights were essential for my house. There aren't too many 4in, gimbal LED lights out there and Halo is one of them. I've coupled these lights with Halo H995RICAT LED retrofit and H995ICAT new construction housings as I intended my new cans to use only LED lighting. Both of these housings allow insulation contact when used with LED lights. This cuts down on the heat loss to the attic and I've piled insulation over the cans. Since I'm using LED housings with LED lights, I don't even need the screw in adapter that comes with the kit. Even the screw in adapter is of high quality ceramic while other brands utilize a plastic screw in. The lights are instant on and have no buzz. They cost more than some other Home Depot brands, but the light and build quality is apparent when I did a side to side comparison between the two. This is the premium LED product. Again about the only drawback is price, they are pricey as they are about 1.5 higher than the competition in 2015 prices. Years later when other competitors plastic housings have yellowed against a white ceiling, no doubt these Halo lights with metal housings will still be as white as the day they were purchased. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by horrible on line experience product performed as advertised, customer was satisfied April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great! This easy to install LED fixture fits in a 4" recessed can. I installed it in a patio ceiling with the light gimbaled to highlight a rock wall. The picture shows the fixture with a 6" trim ring that I purchased extra and installed to hide a gap between the ceiling and the light fixture. The dimming works perfectly and the light is bright. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Fit These lights were easy to install and fit perfectly into my existing 4" housings. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Item for our application! This down light will be located over a toilet in a dimly lit area. The adjustability of this item was just what we needed. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nuce Light Easy to install and replace the original bulb and trim. The light is bright and good quality. I like the idea of the LED for energy savings, but the cost is a bit high. But I was able to get the ability to adjust the light and direct it with this fitting - which works nicely. I think it looks good and am satisfied with the installation. February 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well made and easy to install These lights are well made and substantial, not cheap! They are a bit pricey, but worth it versus some light weight, flimsey alternative. The light output is great and we brightened up the room significantly. Reduced power consumption is a significant plus. December 31, 2014
