CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Almost fun to do! I thought I was going to get into trouble drilling and wiring holes in my shed for these. The install (2) went so well that I ordered 6 more IC cans, and am getting them installed now. I also used the Lutron dimmer switch. This system costs a bit more, but I am enjoying it. I decided tonight to add 2 more with the gimbal option. I am putting everything on Lutron dimmers too. I get no "buzzing" at all. Maybe the cheaper switches are doing it. Remember to pull the connector almost as far out as it will come into the can. It will make life so much easier. After all is said and done. I would recommend these units. I am 100% happy with them. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice trim look, good color (for a 3000K), dims well with Lutron C-L Maestro, pricey compared to others I'm trying out a bunch of 4" LED retrofit trims for our family room. We have 6 new cans to fill, and we already have several MR16 low-voltage halogens in 3" cans with 4" trims. I'm comparing them primarily to the Ecosmart 4" 2700K, which are currently going for $36 at HD. Here are the main differences I've found: Trim on this Cooper looks better Cooper has a delay when turning on -- Ecosmart doesn't Cooper is brighter, even though it has a lower lumens rating. But both are brighter than I really need! Cooper is a whiter light (as expected by the 3000K rating), and it's color doesn't shift much when dimmed. The Ecosmart tends toward a greenish hue when dimmed low. Both dim down well with the Lutron Maestro C-L dimmer. Cooper has a slight buzz when dimmed. Ecosmart is basically silent. Cooper has 5 year warranty, Ecosmart is 3. Ecosmart required me to install an adapter on the LED-only cans, since they have just an edison base. Cooper has the orange LED "title 24" standard connector. At this point, I'm having a tough time deciding. The Ecosmarts are cheaper, but the trim is not quite as nice, and I can't decide of the slight greenish hue when dimmed is a deal breaker or not. If they were the same price, I'd probably go with the Cooper. January 15, 2014
