I like these lights- of all the retro-fit LED's they seem to have the warmest light. I gave the value "poor" rating because the price dropped $20 since I recently purchased them. This is painful b/c I purchased 3- at the new price, they ARE a good value, but I'm not too happy at losing $60

I wanted lights that were not the blue white style LEDs that are very cool in color. These have a warm light color and are perfect for my family room. I will purchase more when I am remodeling our other rooms with old style can lighting.

The great thing about installing this LED is twofold: In a wet shower area is delivers far more light than a 40 watt incandescent with the glass sealed safety cover. The unit fits snugly into the recessed lighting fixture with relative ease. My only issue was with the default tension spring arrangement. It would not hold the light snugly to the ceiling without slipping. When I switched to the blade wing clips, it was hard to put the housing into the cavity but it stayed put.

This LED light assembly is a great buy for replacing the CFLs in our kitchen, bathrooms and hall ways.
Easy to install but required extra wiring in our kitchen due to title 24 code requiring that the CFLs be hard wired. A little pricey and they will take some time to break even on the cost. Much better looking and less glare than the CFLs. Similar looking to the 65W incandescent bulbs for just over 10W.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daffysboy Excellent product. Initially expensive.
My house is overrun with the old-style can lights with the ridiculous CFL floodlight bulbs that never seem to stick out the same distance from the trim, and never seem to last very long. After reading up on the latest LED lights I bought one of these locally and tried it. Installation is incredibly easy, even for a novice. The light snaps on immediately and fully, puts out a pleasing light, never gets hot, and uses a fraction of the energy. I was initially concerned that the light wouldn't spread adequately, since the fixture is slightly recessed, but that was not a problem. I'm a critical person, but could find no reason not to convert my entire household to LED. Initial outlay is steep, for sure, but if you intend to stay in your home for a few years you will recoup your expenditure. I have just ordered eight more lights, which was HD's entire online stock as of today. I will be ordering nine more when they are available. I am also converting every other bulb in my house to LED. It's a winner.
