HALO 6 inch LED Disk Light, 90CRI, 3000K comes with lot of installation options but it takes a little time to install it. Once installed it works great and a perfect replacement for old power guzzling bulbs. I replaced the laundry room light with this LED light that had a round junction box. I used the provided junction box bracket to install the light. It fits tight to the ceiling and looks great. It also does not gets very hot.

So happy with the Halo lights! They were recommeneded by my electrician. The 3000Ks are perfect for the kitchen, right amount of warmth but still creating true colors on food and cabinets. Also works well with 2700K undercabinet lighting.

I remodeled my basement and hated the light fixture that stuck down from the ceiling. When I found this light I wasn't sure about it but thought I would give it a try and it was great. It mounts right over the junction box no special cans or inserts. The light is nice and bright. I only put up one light and it does a nice job of lighting up the room, any additional lighting I was planning on doing with lamps but not sure I will need to do it. I want to buy a couple more of these now. Not only are these attractive but high efficiency LED as well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 123ABC Great light fixture alternative!
Excellent product for appearance, quality (installed less than 3 weeks at this point - time will tell), a little pricy, but VERY easy to install. Highly recommend. And, delivery from Home Depot was fast.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TotalDIY Exactly what I needed, but not as simple as stated
This was exactly what I needed for a kitchen retrofit with a finished bathroom above, so I couldn't count on where I might find existing pipes interfering with normal retrofit can units. This only took a j box, so it fit very nicely under the new plumbing upstairs. That being said, the hardest part is the actual assembly into the J box. You have to dress the wires short, and dress the connector wire with the filters above the bracket before assembly, as the entire space under the bracket is already allotted for the circuit brick. Then assembling the unit to the brackets is a major issue, I could always get one side to connect, but the second side always seemed to be a little off. That's because as you assemble the bracket, tension on the screws can warp it a bit, so it doesn't line up. I had to adjust the tabs by trial and error, and while I did get all the units up, I didn't get that satisfying click that the bracket clicked secure like I did when I was practicing the assembly on the counter. I'll have to take them down to paint the ceiling in a few weeks, so I'll give it a second shot then. Other than that, these are fantastic and I already bought some more. Used these to replace an overhead fluorescent, and it totally changed the look of the kitchen. Bright but dimmable.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by parttimehack Looks Nice - But A lot of Time to Install
The good: looks nice, low profile, and bright. The bad: it didn't fit the j-box that I had in the ceiling. J box was too small. Consequently, wound up stripping out the j-box which included the ground lug, and the screw ports, also had to remove the connectors on the light fixtures and twist the wires together (i.e. no wire nuts) because it was too bulky. Don't know why, but the little transformer is not mounted to the LED module, so it flops around when trying to install the LED module. I also accidentally bent the mounting bracket which prevented me from twist locking the LED module to the ceiling like it was intended, I did a "tacky" and used screw to secure the light fixture to the ceiling. I am going to wait for a day to get some paint on he screws to blend it in. So, this is not a simple weekend job. However, if you're resourceful, you can do what I just did, I went to the extra effort just because I had so much time invested in the work and my "pride" was there , that I was compelled to see this through. This took me 2 weekends, I have a sore back and tired arms and fingers from all this overhead work. Thought I'd share some photos that I annotated

Nice fixture for low head clearance in a small closet. Puts out good foot candles for size of fixture.
