CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Versatile, value Bought two of these ICAT 6-packs from Home Depot, and they were exactly what I needed. The original builder put in non-IC rated cans with blown-in insulation. Since this is a fire hazard, I replaced as many as possible. If I didn't have insulation or drywall, these would have been easy to install. I really like the push-in wire connectors and lock-in systems. Note that these are new-work, so the tabs might not fit under finished-ceiling joists. Bend them up to avoid drywall/nail pops. The airtite strips didn't always line the light/ceiling gaps (but are at least present), so I sealed the gaps using UL butyl tape that hides behind the trims. Certain sized lights may stick out below, even with the 30_AT trims, so either use bulbs smaller than PAR38 or a different can with the socket hooked to the top. August 19, 2013
