Used 22 of these in my house. Love them.
The price point allows LEDs to compete with ballasted CFL housings. They're also easy to install.
You'll want an adjustable or 6" recessed can hole saw. Don't spent big bucks for a whole saw designed for wood or metal; the cheap abrasive tipped ones will cut drywall just fine and give a perfect fit.
These have the orange two-prong snap-on connector.that most LEDs use.
If you've never used this type of clip system, you just fold the legs together and attach to each side of the same clip. Attach both, then push up, twisting gently as you approach the ceiling.

You need to bend out a bit to get a good snug fit against the sheetrock, and I go to the extra step of using a small piece of duct tape just to make sure the clip doesn't come out in the can, but otherwise they are excellent. I really like the easy electrical connection clips, which greatly speeds up installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HandyMike Makes your recessed led lighting job simple
This should be rated 5 stars overall, not 4. For the people having a hard time with the locking tabs, it takes a little bit of practice and technique. Using a common (flat head) screwdriver and mallet or hammer, install is a breeze. I've installed dozens of these, mostly without an issue. Anytime I ran into a problem, it was my fault, not the fault of the product.
Also, these don't come with a Edison style medium base socket. These use a two pin connector that is common with every led recessed lighting retrofit. So, if you rate this item 1 star for it not coming with the Edison socket, that's your fault for not reading the description or knowing how to use this product correctly.
This is an inexpensive solution for anyone wanting to install some energy efficient led recessed lights in their home. For anyone that knows how to use tools properly, and has basic electrical knowledge, this is super easy. Give it a try on your next install. You won't be disappointed, and if you are, you probably did something wrong.

Very easy to install. They give very good light over a large area. We installed six in our kitchen and it really brightened the area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheOldeOwl Really does the job & at a great price
Did a retro install in the basement: the integral wire connectors are easy & work great. The clamps can be a little difficult to secure if a drywall ceiling is a little thicker than what the unit was designed for, but proper application of screwdriver by hammer locks it in place (expect there is a maximum thickness that these just won't work on). Used the "6 in. LED Disk Light For Recessed Can Lighting" (UPC 874340001580): connection was a breeze, and these throw out a good amount of light - the convex design gives a good beam spread. The housing & this disk light are really made for each other. Have already suggested to the work place to start swapping out the 2x4 fluorescent units w/ these as the lamps/ballasts wear out.

These install with ease whether using 1/2 or 5/8 drywall. to all the people that have problems and tape them from falling out, you need to know how to lock the tabs after you push them in. You simply push the tab in and with a flat screw driver slide them up till they hit the top, now your locked and they don't come out.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lynn Difficult to clamp in place
I found it helpful to stretch the clamps out a little so that there was about 1/2 inch distance from the plane of the lip of the pot and the end of the clamps when they are full extended. They come very tight/close to the outer edge of the pot so that when they are pushed out they extend to the same plane as the lip, however, the drywall is 1/2 in thick. Gotta be careful though not to stretch too far or else you will lose the air tight fit these are rated for. Hope that helps some other amateur like myself.

When installed properly, these cans work great and are an excellent value. They are made of pretty flimsy metal and it's tricky to install the clips without ruining the can. The clips are made to work with 1/2" drywall. If you have plaster/lath ceiling or multiple layers of drywall, you'll have to bend the spring tabs with a pair of pliers. They come with wires and connectors installed which is nice. I'll buy them again.
