Is this housing used for both traditional and led lights? Or is it specifically for led

Asked by: Rachel
LED will work best in this shallow can because of the lack of room for a traditional trim and long neck bulb.

What is the minimum space requirement between top of fixture to bottom of sheathing?

Asked by: Sam
Technically I believe it's 3". you can put a small piece metal flashing material above the can on the sheathing to prevent the can being within 3" of a combustible material. LED trims create far less heat than normal incandescent bulb and you will have nothing to worry about if you go that route.

They are very easy to install. The push in wire connections are an excellent addition as well because they allow for multiple connections between other lights, making this light fixture a breeze to install. They can be adjusted without any special tools.

To get the six Feit 100W (21.5W) lights in, I had to remove the socket and rewire them all slightly but I expected this. The regular ones protruded too far into the ceiling for my job. But these do cost more than the regular depth ones so stick with he regular ones if you have the room for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Halo New Construction Cans I had previously enjoyed working with Halo remodeling cans where existing drywall was present, and I will say it is way easier to work with these cans with no existing ceiling! I am very pleased with the 4 cans that light up a work area under a deck in my shed!
