CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Eyeball Trim The picture on the website is wrong. This is the 694WB EyeBall Trim and they show the 691WB Shallow Baffle Trim in the picture. Used with the ML56 LED module it provides a very stylish light. The locking leaves a bit to be desired though. You put the ML56 in the trim and turn to lock but it doesn't ever feel like it completely locks in and one came loose when I installed it and had to be removed and reseated. Once in though it should be pretty secure. The instructions are a bit light on how to use the springs. It took me a few tries to realize they had to be bent inside the C clips inside the can. Basically there is one C shaped clip on each side of the can and you squeeze the spring till each arm is pointing straight up then place the two arms inside the C clip. Once in the whole unit can just be pushed up and the springs will bow outwards providing a positive upward force to hold the unit securely against the ceiling. Figuring this out while 15ft up a ladder wasn't fun for someone who is scared senseless of heights. I would also strongly recommend doing the wiring first and then before mounting the light using some clean cotton gloves. The white ceramic material marks very easily and is very difficult to clean. I also found it easier to remove the ground wire and rejoin to the ML56 as the last step rather than holding the ML56 while trying to deal with persnickety can screws. November 26, 2012
