CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by shower recessed excellent choice coupled with the LED trim for lighting up the shower July 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple to install Remodeling a bathroom. This was simple to install and works great! July 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not sturdy enough I installed 12 of these for a client during a living room remodel. Straight out of the box the supports were bent, and none of the bent sheet metal nail holders lined up with the nail through holes. Even after bending things back into shape and replacing a few, the boxes still didn't look sturdy. Sure enough when we went to put the trims in after the room was finished the boxes deflected upwards 1/4" preventing the trims from sitting flush with the ceiling. We never could get the trims flush and so ended up ripping the ceiling out, replacing the housings and starting over. March 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Remember the 50w max rating in your lighting design I used 8 of these in my master suite. Most are for lower wattage reading and accent lights. Two are used over the vanity. I didn't read the 50w max and found that a 50w bulb is not bright enough for use in a bathroom. If you use a 60w incandescent it will click off as the housing overheats--a good safety feature. One way around this limit is to use a CFL, but they take 30 seconds to reach full brightness. I ended up using 60w equivalent LED lights at $20 each and am very happy with the results. I recommend these 4" housings for certain lighting situations where you want a more sophisticated look, everywhere else use the 6" cans since they are much cheaper. January 24, 2013
