Love the look of this lantern - but be forewarned - changing the light bulb is a major task - especially if the top of the light is over your head. You must unscrew the top (2 screws - small and need a Phillips head unless you are nimble fingered.) then the bulb must be able to fit thru the top and leave room for your fingers to tighten it - so choose a long lasting bulb that isn't very large or tall. AND do not make the mistake of deciding to take out a glass panel and insert the bulb that way. You will spend another hour or two trying to put the lamp back together - with the emphasis on TRYING. It took four hands and a great deal of patience. I like the lamps - but I hope I don't have to change the bulb ever again!

When I replaced the Masonite siding on my house with vinyl, I also wanted to replace the ill-conceived copper fixtures the previous owner had installed. They no longer coordinated well with the house color, their globes were a pain to remove, and even worse, they used unusual bulbs that burned out quickly & were more pricey than regular bulbs. I wanted to upgrade without breaking the bank, so I settled on this fixture for the porch & the Hampton Bay Dusk-To-Dawn motion activated lantern for the front of the garage.
This fixture was very easy to install & is a nice, traditional way to update your lighting. You can choose either the short or long tail, so it's nice to have the option. It's nothing fancy, but for the price, it can't be beat. No complaints whatsoever with the product quality - great fixture!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Willwgp Wonderful Upgrade, Nice and Bright!
The light is an awesome upgrade from what we had before. The only bad thing I can say about it is, the mounting bracket had longer screws on it, which were the wrong size; they were SUPPOSED to be the smaller screws that are included in the kit. We didn't realize this until we had already installed it and put sealant around the base. But the product still works just fine, and looks so much better! I would recommend this product, for sure! For the price and quality, you can't go wrong.

These fixtures are great looking appearance wise, quality wise, not so much. They were so cheap & flimsy I didn't even attempt to put them up. I thought that the wind would break them if it blew too hard.
These would be good if you're looking for cheap, temp lighting. Not so much if you actually want it to last.

great fixture for the price. are they high-end lights? no way. but for the price, they are a good-looking, inexpensive, and easy to install choice.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gkbne Great looking product!
My only downgrade would be on 'ease of installation' - product includes 4 screws, 2 screws are already in place. But those are the wrong screws! You have to remove the two installed screws and replace them with the one in the package. Not a big problem, but when you are up on a ladder and don't find this out until everything is hanging by wires, well - it could have been easier. I have very little installation experience, but had no other problems with the product.
