Answer:
It does not appear to be. So I then bought what I believe to be dimmable CFL bulbs and it still doesn't dim. We always would dim our wall sconces, so this is a huge disappointment.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Important Points #1 - These sconces do NOT appear to be dimmable. I even went and bought different, dimmable bulbs and these sconces still don't dim, which is a huge disappointment. Also note that they use the somewhat unusual "Quad 4-PIN" CFL bulbs. These bulbs have three different base types, so be careful when you order replacements! #2 - As noted by another reviewer, the bulb plugs into a base and hangs horizontally, with the base to the left within the glass. Thus, the left side of the glass tends to be dark and the right side bright. These sconces are not very expensive and I needed four (after my kids broke two of my existing sconces). However, knowing what I know now about these, I would not have bought and installed these lights. November 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It is possible to install sconce without forcing the glass We've had this fixture for about 10 years. The bulb just burned out for the first time and I stupidly took the glass off to get access to the bulb. In the future, I will just get out a step ladder and reach over the top. However, having removed the glass and changed the bulb I went to put the glass back on and could not for the life of me get the holes to match up with the screws. I came to this site hoping to get a clue from someone else but instead found a lot of reviews that had run into what I had. I decided in my usual manly way to just force it so I got up on a ladder and slid it up and suddenly realized that the holes lined up perfectly. I'm not sure what I did differently other than slide it up from the bottom but I was not going to pull the glass back to check because I did not want to lose the alignment. There may be a weird angle on the back of the glass that makes it odd to align. My only suggestion is to slide it up against the wall from below. August 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad mounting, dark area, looks nice though I'm considering returning this just because of what I had to go through in order to mount it. The long top plate that connects the glass to the body of the unit was at an angle that made the glass impossible to attach. I had to bend the plate up lengthwise by 60 degrees to correct the issue. The glass itself is easily chipped and the decorative posts are easily scratched and can fit through the glass holes if not careful. Also, after it was mounted and working, it turns out the left side of the sconce has a large dark area because the mounting blocks the light. Finally, after reading reviews about the ballast and cost of replacement lights, I'm not feeling the best about the long-term viability either. July 31, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good - especially for the price! The other reviewers - especially the one that bent the mounts - made the same mistake I almost made. The glass fixture goes on with the thick part UP and the thin part against the well. I thought it went the other way, read the reviews, and had a pliers in my hand when my wife handed me the fixture the other direction. She solved it!!! (P.S. if you just look at the picture on the box, it is quite clear.) The directions definitely could be better! April 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mounting counter intuitive but okay light Like others, I had trouble figuring out how to line up the holes. Then I realized if you look closely at the glass pattern, the lens goes in a different direction that you would expect. Make sure the heavy rim is at the top, not flush against the wall. Other than that, the light is okay. I'm considering buying an LED bulb that gives off more lumens. This is okay for a hall or smaller place, but doesn't light up a medium sized bedroom well. Verdict is out long term. October 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mood Lighting The glow that this wall scone puts out sets the mood for soft music and a glass of wine! July 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Light lasted two years...bad ballast We've had this fixture for two years or so, and have enjoyed it. Now that it no longer turns on due to the ballast having gone bad, we're looking at a new fixture. Not too surprising given the fact that the manufacturer warranty is only 90 days long. Somehow I didn't expect to have to replace the light fixtures themselves (ballast replacements are often more than a new light!). It can also be a pain to find a replacement bulb for these. June 1, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Breaks easily The glass on this is very fragile and the round holding nuts tighten to it with no washers or any protection. After installing this light I took the glass off to paint around it. I don't like the way it feels like you have to stress the glass to keep it from feeling loose. I thought I did OK but the next day I found the glass laying on the floor. It appears to have fractured over night. A waste of $40. March 27, 2011
