Answer:
Definitely. The track is basically a pair of copper wires covered in a super thick rubber jacket. Tree pruning loppers or hack saw would do the trick. There are caps for each end, so if the cut is messy, it will be covered up.

Yes, the track can be cut to customized lengths. Yes the instructions on how to do so are included.
Simple version:
1. Measure out the length needed and mark with dry erase marker.
2. Remove the end cap from the end to be cut off.
3. Using a fine tooth hack saw, cut directly down through the track starting at the top and working your way to the bottom.
4. Remove any burrs with a file.
5. Re-install end

It can be cut to length with a hacksaw. I believe there are instructions to do it, but I cannot be positive as I now longer have them. There are instructions on line if you look. Just cut to the desired length. The cap for the track end is installed after the cut. Hope this helps.

I like this configuration but would additionally like to drop down two Pendant lights over a dining table. Will this track support the two additional pendants? I do not want to overload the track. Thanks.

It comes down to light switch rating in watts (especially if you use a dimmer) and what the track is rated for. In my situation the track is rated at 2400 watts, the dimmer is at 450 watts (based on how it is installed). With normal 50 watt bulbs I can do 9 on each track, however I got tired of the 50 watt halogen bulbs heating up my office so I switched to LEDs at 7 watts each. I can fill up the track with lights this way and never worry about the load.
Hope this was helpful.

I have 2 strands linked with a total of 10 cans. Each kit comes with a bridge for stringing multiple. I'm not sure where it maxes out, but it should be able to handle 2 more.

I was back at Home Depot asking more questions and I was told it would support several more lights. It is rated for 2400 watts max. Each of these small lights is only 50 watts. You can do the math from there. Hope this helps!

Answer:
Yes. You can add pendants to this fixture. I asked the electrician at Home Depot about adding 2 or 3 pendants and he said it would be fine. He also explained it to me in volts, etc, but I cannot remember those details! :) There is a connector you can buy online to connect the pendants.

I believe 5 is the number of lights it will carry. You'd have to substitute two of the spots for the pendants.

I did a search on the internet when I needed to replace light bulbs in several of my track lights. Thankfully, they all needed the same size bulb. The bulbs were $15 each at Home Depot. I found a site, ordered several and received them a few days later for a fraction of the price. It's been too long for me to recall the website, but the price was $3-4 each, instead of $15. Do some research!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful I moved this year into a house that had very little wall space and I am an art collector. I only had one long hallway that had enough wall space to hang pictures. But that hallway was very dark. This track lighting turned that hallway into a beautiful way to display a good bit of my artwork. The track is flexible and the lights can be moved so they shine where you want them to. I am very happy with this purchase. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good We are very pleased with this light. It looks good and puts out a lot of light. Here are some installation notes. The track was flexible to the point of being floppy. I wasn't able to form it and hold it up to the ceiling to mark the holes for the standoffs to hold the track. My wife suggested I form it into an "S" on our wood floor and use the boards to form the center line for makeshift Cartesian coordinates. Then I measured from the center of the "S" to the 3 support points I wanted for the upper half. For example, {(-3, 12), (10, 16), (18, 14)} I then drilled holes in the ceiling for those points. For the lower half I took negative of the upper "S" coordinates: {(3, -12, (-10, -16), (-18, -14)}. I put the seventh support next to the electrical feed. The lights were more focused and brighter than we expected. We ended up pointing them toward the wall. Having said this we are very happy with the light. It looks good and brightens up what was a dark area. February 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy, great light Was simple to install and love the look of it. The only downer was the bulb not being LED we had to spend another $50 for better bulbs only because we wanted the energy savings and the white crisp look instead of yellow glow. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Falling apart - plastic mounts disintegrating :( I had been very happy with this product and had personally installed it in my kitchen. Tonight it started falling apart, two of the anchors that hold it to the ceiling literally crumbled. I think I've had it for about 4 years. I cannot fathom the cause... heat from the kitchen? or worse from the fixture itself? I read below about the one year warranty. Disappointing. October 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love, Love, Love This light is awesome it is so versatile! It looks great but to be installed takes alot of measuring to make sure it looks even on the ceiling. Would definitely recommend! December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always missing parts Love the lights, hate the packaging. Two boxes at the store, one looked like it was open so we opened to verify all parts were there. NADA so we opened the other, again NADA. So ordered 3 boxes on line. When came, two boxes had parts missing but I was able to make two full light fixtures and had all the missing parts on the third. On line wouldn't help, said I had to take back to store for exchange - NOT after canopy and stanchions were already in place. But I did go back to the store and they opened their only stock box and gave me the 9 parts missing (usually the pendant adjustment screw, pin & washer) . Worker said he has never seen a box come with all the parts! Its the way the box is made, no actual seal. So any loose parts fall out. How stupid is that. The lights are great but be aware to check every box before you leave the store. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Darker Bronze is Stunning! Great buy & a nice twist of darker color for our beach house. Wanted something a bit different than brushed nickel & this brings out the driftwood looking floors beautifully!!! June 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good bang for the buck... The track light was well designed and is excellent for the price. The biggest downfall with this track light are the plastic attachment points for the lights and supports. Quality is really lacking here and I would pay an additional $100 to see these upgraded. Installation is possible by yourself but NOT recommended. Otherwise, a good product! April 29, 2016
