Customer Questions & Answers

What are the actual dimensions and does it hold up to windy conditions?

How big does the frame measure? I have a 10 x 10 concrete pad and wondered if it will fit on top of it. Also being in Oklahoma it needs to be able to stand up to wind.
Asked by: Wolf
I too have a 10' loose tiled patio The shade tent is 6 sided with complete zipper screening. We do have intense thunder storms with winds maybe 40 -45 MPH. I added anchor ropes securely attached to the ground with 12" plastic tent stakes and 1/8 inch nylon rope. Given the 6 sided exposures to wind these ropes and stakes should be sufficient to weather most any mild thunder storm in our area, but not a hurricane. Can you tell I was an Eagle Scout and put up many tents as a kid. I still enjoy it! Chet B

After storing the canopy and netting in the garage over the winter months, we just put the gazebo back together this past weekend. We were surprised to find that after only 1 year, the fabric had been worn out by the sun enough to easily rip in 3 places while trying to put the canopy back on the gazebo. Especially the places where the velcro patches are attached were very fragile and would easily rip if not careful. I bought RV tape for $12 and patched up the rips in the canopy. Since the mosquito netting doesn't really help to keep the bugs out but actually traps them inside the Gazebo, we decided not to put the netting up this year. We are trying to get one more year out of the Gazebo, but will have to definitely buy a replacement canopy (if available) next year if we decide to keep the Gazebo. While it looks pretty, and the solar lights make for a nice atmosphere in the evening, I would not recommend buying this gazebo unless your are willing to spend the extra dollars every other year for a replacement canopy.

Was fairly easy to put together with a friends and I was happy with how it looked and its space. The outer fabric material and the velcro used to attach to the poles is cheap and some of the ties ripped while putting it together and it wasn't pulled taught. Even with the velcro pulled as tight it can go its still very loose which didn't bother me because I figured that was so if there was wind it would be stable, Not so. A week after it was up we got a small storm and the tent fabric ripped and it blew over and the metal legs bent so it wasn't straight anymore. ( I didn't have it staked in at this point so make sure you do that.) We used it all summer and it was great, loved the solar lights. Then fall happened we got a big storm with lots of rain and wind and the tent material ripped but it stayed in place with the stakes. The next storm though destroyed the whole thing. The stakes aren't that sturdy and even with the mesh panels open ( I thought that would help wind pass through better) it was torn up and looked like it was hit by a truck. I was nervous about how it would stand up to the winter but we never found out. We live outside of Boston MA.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was great the first season. I bought this gazebo last spring and was very impressed. I managed to set it up myself and I'm slightly disabled. We enjoyed it all summer. In the late fall I took the covers down, cleaned them and dried them, folded them up nice and stored them in a tote in my basement. This year as I'm setting up it has ripped in 3 key spots because it somehow shrank. It's about an inch too small to fit properly. It's on now but with the holes at those stress points it may not last the season. For what I paid for it I expect it to last more than one season.

It really is beautiful at night all lit up.But....I do have to say,it ends there. The assembly is very difficult and purchased 2 of them(first one had to take back)and BOTH were dented badly right out of the box. The top of the canopy did not fit right and was so tight that it ripped the velcro. They were pretty good about replacing certain things though. I guess I just love the solar lights so much that I was willing to deal with rest.

This gazebo is great. It was easy to assemble. (You will need 2 people & a high step ladder or 2. No other tools needed.) Ours has held up to 20 mph winds without any problem. As an added bonus, there are solar lights and a center hook for hanging a plant or chandelier or extra security tie down for high winds. We have yet to take it apart but will be doing so next week.

This item should be removed from your stores, the fabric is not fit for the purpose it is intended for, which is outdoor use so not sure why one year in Ohio sun would deteriorate the fabric so bad it rips when trying to install the following year, the fabric seems rotted and it was taken down and stored for the winter. How about using fabric that has a decent UV protection. Save your money and shame on Home Depot for selling this junk.

I called the support number and was told to pack it up and take it back. Are you kidding me? He told me he could send the solar part out to see if that maybe the problem and also suggested that I talk with a licensed electrician. Say what?? I gave up. Now, after 10 months, the canopy has big gashes in it and several of the net panels are falling apart. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Very Sturdy We had this Gazebo for exactly 1 day. Loved it. A small shower with 10 - 15 MPG winds damaged the poles, cover, etc. I had it tied down to my deck and the cover ripped in the areas the tie down were installed. I would not recommend if you live somewhere with any type of wind. Our cushions for our chairs didn't move at all, but his piece of junk looked like it was ran over by a semi truck. Best yet when we called to report it because of the warranty, and proved we didn't have severe weather...they would not replace it or send replacement parts...very disappointed with such a great company to deal with. Lesson learned...bye, bye $300.
