Customer Questions & Answers

What are the actual dimensions and does it hold up to windy conditions?

How big does the frame measure? I have a 10 x 10 concrete pad and wondered if it will fit on top of it. Also being in Oklahoma it needs to be able to stand up to wind.
Asked by: Wolf
I too have a 10' loose tiled patio The shade tent is 6 sided with complete zipper screening. We do have intense thunder storms with winds maybe 40 -45 MPH. I added anchor ropes securely attached to the ground with 12" plastic tent stakes and 1/8 inch nylon rope. Given the 6 sided exposures to wind these ropes and stakes should be sufficient to weather most any mild thunder storm in our area, but not a hurricane. Can you tell I was an Eagle Scout and put up many tents as a kid. I still enjoy it! Chet B

10 ft. x 10 ft. Solar LED Lighted Gazebo is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent value and looks! Very easy to assemble with only two screws and the rest just snaps in and large knobs. LED lights are brighter than expected. Six sided shape is a big change from the standard shapes and fits over my outdoor kitchen perfectly. Has been good in the rain and some medium wind conditions. Found weights (not from Home Depot) that will fit the larger posts that need at least 1 5/8 inch slots or a center circle around 2 inches.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Already Ripped We had this Gazebo for just 3 months and loved it, but after the short summer it has already ripped in the canopy (both pieces). I have it mounted by the base so that it does not move. I called to report it because of the warranty and they would not replace it or send replacement parts...very disappointed as we're Home Depot Pro Members due to our business.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product. This easy to construct Gazebo has already been part of many hours of enjoyment. The built in lighting makes it easy to use our patio in the evenings while the screen keeps the bugs away. plus it is attractive and accents our outside space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Problem with part, then with store Let me start by saying I love our gazebo. However, when we finished assembling the frame (about an hour into the project) two of the posts were a foot off the ground. It became clear that the issue was with one of the beams that had not been welded correctly. My husband returned to Home Depot with the defective beam and they wanted us to order a replacement part from the manufacturer, when they had 5 in stock. That is unacceptable. What good is it to buy from your local Home Depot when you will be told to deal with the manufacturer if you encounter a problem? They actually expected us to have a half assembled gazebo in our yard while we waited to have the manufacturer ship us one beam. This went on for about 30 minutes. When my husband made it clear that he would just purchase another gazebo, take the part we needed from that box and then return it to the store with the defective part, the manager finally gave in. Needless to say that this was a frustrating customer service experience. Once we got the good beam in, we finished assembly in about an hour and were able to enjoy the gazebo. My only complaint about the gazebo is that the screens are not flush with the floor and leave a 1.5 in. gap along the bottom. Other than that, we are very happy with it. Obviously, mistakes happen in mass manufacturing, and we were understanding of that. But when you go back to the store and instead of apologies for giving you a faulty product, you get bureaucracy and an attitude, that is unacceptable.

This gazebo is great. It was easy to assemble. (You will need 2 people & a high step ladder or 2. No other tools needed.) Ours has held up to 20 mph winds without any problem. As an added bonus, there are solar lights and a center hook for hanging a plant or chandelier or extra security tie down for high winds. We have yet to take it apart but will be doing so next week.

I called the support number and was told to pack it up and take it back. Are you kidding me? He told me he could send the solar part out to see if that maybe the problem and also suggested that I talk with a licensed electrician. Say what?? I gave up. Now, after 10 months, the canopy has big gashes in it and several of the net panels are falling apart. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Very Sturdy We had this Gazebo for exactly 1 day. Loved it. A small shower with 10 - 15 MPG winds damaged the poles, cover, etc. I had it tied down to my deck and the cover ripped in the areas the tie down were installed. I would not recommend if you live somewhere with any type of wind. Our cushions for our chairs didn't move at all, but his piece of junk looked like it was ran over by a semi truck. Best yet when we called to report it because of the warranty, and proved we didn't have severe weather...they would not replace it or send replacement parts...very disappointed with such a great company to deal with. Lesson learned...bye, bye $300.
