Rated 2 out of 5Â by HomeDepoer Not durable for the price
The clips are small and the screws are well hidden but these clips are not durable. After a while they become brittle and break easily. The hassle becomes annoying when they must be replaced. Just the weight of a piece of hanging rope light will snap the clip bearing the weight or when removing the rope light will easily snap the clip so if need be replace the rope light after each clip in replaced. For new installations support the rope light until its mounted. It helps if you spray the clip and rope light section with soapy water when removing or installing. Once installed don't try to move it around much. I would pay more for these clips if they lasted. I think these clips cost 25 cents per package to manufacture and $4.25 for shipping, handling and stocking. If available on-line these should sell for under $2.00 per package. I think Home Depot should offer a flexible mounting strip along with mounting clips which should give these lights a better presentation when mounted.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Stogmeister Guess they are OK for the price.
Had to replace the ones I installed in my kitchen about 4 years ago. Those just kind of got brittle & broke. Don't expect them to last long. Only reason I would recommend them is that I really had no other choice to choose from.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by dfab Does not last over time!
I have installed a rope light up under my cabinets about 1 1/2 years ago, that has a window in the middle. So, the lights go under the cabinets and up around the window, then under the other set of cabinets. I have had to replace these clips 3 TIMES already. They tend to just break at one of the joints over time. Is it the heat from the lights that make them brittle and break? There's not much heat there, so it's a puzzle to me. These clips ought to be made out of something more durable instead of clear PVC. Metal, aluminum, copper - something that will hold up. After this next set breaks, I'll be taking the rope lights down and puddying screw holes in sheetrock and touch up painting. Wast of time and money. NOT A DURABLE PRODUCT.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Mark Brittle plastic breaks easily
Plastic clips are brittle and do not work well for exterior use even when sun protected. The poor choice of a hard easily broken plastic part places quality and value at the lowest possible ranking.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by TheRealSaxman Just what I needed!
I needed a quick and easy way to attach my Christmas rope lights to my decorative curbing without making it look like a 5 year old did it. These clips work great! Drill a hole with a masonry bit... sink in a plastic anchor and screw the clip in place!! wonderful product!
