Customer Questions & Answers

Do you have a 150 watt unit. I have (20) 7 watt lights. Should have (2) 100 watt or (1) 150 watt?

Asked by: Anonymous
I would go with the (2) 100 Watt. If you were to get the 150 watt would be exceeding 75% of the supply, and it would overheat! plus would have room to expand if need be.

Option for "always on"?

Can I have this supply power continuously (instead of only when it's dark)? I've got an alternative method to turn the lights on and off.
Asked by: user7878
Hello, yes this product can power continuously 24h/24h if you put it on "ON" mode. Here's the list of the 6 functions of this transformer: 1- OFF This switches the complete system off. 2- ON This switches the system on 24 hours a day. 3- AUTO This position turns the system on at dusk and off at dawn, automatically. 4- 4 H This position turns the system on at dusk for 4 hours, then turns off. 5- 6 H This position turns the system on at dusk for 6 hours, then turns off. 6- 8 H This position turns the system on at dusk for 8 hours, then turns off.

Customer Reviews

12-Volt Low-Voltage 100-Watt Transformer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Count the Watts There's no place you can find this out, but with my Watt-meter I measure the following: It draws 1 watt when it's turned off. It draws 1 watt plus the wattage of the fixtures. It draws 4 additional watts if the photocell function or the timer is engaged (whether the fixtures are on or off). That qualifies it as a zombie, but not a big one. It's not different from other photocells or timers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent replacement for inferior original equipment (Malibu transformer). Much, much better and a breeze to install. This is an excellent replacement for Malibu electronic transformers that should have never been sold in the first place. Easily installs and works like a charm. Bravo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Landscaping Lighting Transformer This is a solid, compact, simple 12 volt transformer for landscaping lighting. Connection is simple. The control and "electric eye" for automated on/off functions are under a plastic cover. There are several positions to select from, depending on how long the lights should remain on, etc. This is 100 watts, which should drive upward of 20 lights IF they are of the more recent LED variety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good replacement product This was a replacement of an original transformer bought 1 year ago. The only problem was the connectors were not the same. After some additional electrical connectors were added, we were able to hook this transformer up to the original lights.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Product I had bought and had to return two Moonrays Timers because the photoelectric eyes did not work. This timer is identical to the Moonrays, so it is obvious it is manufactured by the same company. It had the same problem the photoelectric eye did not work, so I had to return it for full credit. I ended up buying the Malibu 120 Watt Power Pack that you sell in the store, installed it one month ago and it functions perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just the right size I have this transformer connected to 10 LED Lights at total of about 30 watts. This was just the size I needed with some room to spare if I add on more LEDs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement transformer. Was pleasantly surprised to find a replacement transformer that was available that was not more costly than the original pathway set. Had to call technical support to learn about how to get the auto control to get the lights working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Transformer was using one of these for 14 lights without an issue. the back lights were just a bit dimmer than the front lights so i hooked this one up to the back 7 lights and now every light is bright and works greats. definitely recommend.
