Answer:
Hi Barry, the transformer use the photocell to come ON on both the Dusk to Dawn and the digital timer. You can only set a timer for 1-9 hours after dusk. You can't set a start time. In your case, the digital timer set to 4-5 hours is probably what you need.

Answer:
Like most of the low voltage transformers you don't pick start and end times. The photocell works very well in this model to determine when the lights should go on, as long as it is not obstructed from natural light. From there you pick the amount of hours you want it to be one. You can push the arrow and select "5" on the digital readout; that will work for you.

I am using 12-2 wire and have about 9 lights to a run, at 20 watts per light. However, my longest run will be about 200 ft. I ran my wire using the "t" method as to help split the power. Will this be adequate or should i use another transformer closer to the lights?

Answer:
According to the specs, you can run 12 gauge wire between 150' - 250', with maximum watts of 180. As long as you don't tip the 180 your configuration falls within the parameters.
Maximum wattage between 240 and 300 can only be run up to 75' using 12 gauge.

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your interest in our product. Your setup will be fine, since you are using 12-2 wire. You won't have any problem of voltage loss or anything like it. Also, this transformer is rated 600W because it has two pins of 300W each, so you could just use one for each run, if that can make it easier for you. The "T" method is fine too.

I bought my HD 22007 over two years ago and I now want to add more lights. I prefer LED for the low
wattage consumption. I see that not all transformers are D/C which can cause problems with some
landscaping lighting. Knowing which output I have will aid me in selecting the correct lighting.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 52 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product for all landscape lighting projects We just built a new home and one of our first projects was to install landscape lighting. We put in 16 lights and ran over 400ft of wiring so we needed a transformer that could handle this without losing any of the brightness of the low wattage lights especially at the end of the runs. The Hampton Bay 12V 600w Low Voltage Transformer not only gave us the flexibility to add several lines but the output kept all lighting consistent around the house. Photo Cell is perfectly sensitive enough to come on at dusk and the timer was easy to set. Our home looks like a million bucks even at night! October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased This transformer has 2 legs for power, 300W for each leg. It also has a feature of selecting 12v, 13v, 14v, 15v. I am using 13v, as my runs are very long. At the end of each run, there is no dimness of lighting as with cheaper models. I also use the Auto function, so it runs at night only. So far, very pleased with the product. The only downfall is it weighs 80 lbs. However, that's probably a good thing as a good quality transformer itself should weigh a lot. April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This transformer is very well made with great features Excellent feature for turning on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. Very well built and allows for different terminals of different voltage to allow for lighting adjustment for longer runs of lights. This unit is very heavy and must be mounted with appropriate hardware. April 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Do-It-Yourself backyard lighting I bought this transformer to install backyard lighting. It was easy to install and without much work and few screws into the house. (I love the effect of the up-lights into the trees at night). I really enjoy the light sensor on the transformer where the lights come on at dust and go off three hours later. It all makes my backyard feel like a resort...every night. May 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product, Easy to Install Very Easy to install--attractive and much better than my old mechanical converter. January 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works perfect. Works to replace an older transformer that had a sticking clock. Plugged right in, set it to 4 hours. Comes on at dusk & goes off 4 hrs later. Not noisey at all. Good purchase. December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 12V low voltage transformer This unit replaced my previous xformer which failed. Does a good job if it lasts 10+ years I will be happy. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy duty! This thing is a monster and is like a tank. Works perfectly and lights are strong. Running 2 strips with like 12 lights on each of various watts. Definitely recommend 2 1/2 in. lags instead of hardware supplied, very heavy unit. July 5, 2015
