Answer:
Yes. a small block transformer,6 watts. Also it has a photo switch, but I would use a timer instead.
The box of 8 lights says u can put 16 lights on it.
The box of 4 lights says u can put 12 lights on it.
I only seen them in silver.

Answer:
Yes, a Transformer comes inside the box. There is also a day-night sensor so the lights automatically turn on at dusk and off in the morning.
I don't know about the color options.

Answer:
Hi, no, they are low voltage powered. Low voltage works with cables and a transformer. But you don't have to worry as you get everything you need in the kit to light them up. Low voltage is more reliable, brighter, durable and controllable than solar lighting.

It sounds like the lights have a pre-determined wire length.

I would like to put 4 lights at my garage and 4 at the master bedroom which is some distance away from the garage (approx. 30 feet)

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by looks nice Product does not last as long as it should. I can't change lighting because I've already drilled holes in my deck for the lights September 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent ! I purchased 3 sets of these 2 years ago and installed them all around my patio deck and stairs leading to my driveway. I also purchased the seperate power supply that has the built in photo cell and timer to power them. I connected all 3 sets together and they work and look like the first day I installed them after 2 years of salty newfoundland air and of course snow and all other types of ungodly precipitation. Def recommend ! June 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install...very bright Bought and installed a couple of days ago. Easy to install, but the 1" drill bit they supply is junk, it broke after the first 3 holes I drilled. Just buy a quality dewalt drill bit when you buy the set. May 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bright and easy to in stall These LED lights are bright, but not too bright. They are very easy to install and have a "colder temperature " appearance. Only reason the review is not 5 ***** is I believe the cost is a bit high. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install, look amazing and well made I installed a set of these today in a decking path that we built along the side of our house. They were easy to install and look great. They put off a lot of light. You have to be fine with the cool white light of the standard LEDs though. They aren't the newer warm white like you're starting to see in some stores. My ONLY recommendation is to buy a stub extension cord right away too. The transformer block that plugs in won't fit inside most outdoor electrical enclosures. Beyond that, I love them. Not sure why some reviews on here were saying they were hard to install. I thought they were pretty obvious and simple to figure out. June 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice! Installation was easy except when your steps are turning a corner and in the dirt. I ran 80 ft. of 12awg then branched off w 2 sets of 14 lights. Thats the lower deck area. The Upper area ( only 6 ft. from transformer) I installed about 12 more LED lights and 12 more to go,. I'm using a 80watt transformer with built-in timer pluged in a GFCI and not using the supplyed transformer block. All those led lights will be less than half of the transformer capacity & transformer says it pulls one amp. Now thats efficient! PS. don't use the free 1" drill bit, its so cheap it will ruin your wood September 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous lights for a great price! Just installed (3 sets + 2 from the extension pack) of these on the perimeter and stairs of my new deck. They look fabulous! The thing friends and family kept commenting on was how great the lights look. I am very pleased, since I decided to mount them face up on the deck surface, and I wasn't sure if it would work or not. Only draw back is that if a light goes I will have to replace it, as the bulb is integrated. I ordered one extra kit, so I will keep it for replacement bulbs. I was worried about the glare as the lights are pointing straight up, but we've had no issues whatsoever. I don't mind the bright white color of the light either, it is neutral, not blue or yellow. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by led deck lights Easy install, lights are very white. Does not match the other Hampton led landscaping lights I have. March 29, 2016
