Yes you can, but it would probably be easier for you to just use the transformer coming with the kit.

Answer:
Each lamp use less than 3 watts so yes 88 watts is more than enough for this kit. But why use it? This kit comes with it's own power supply.

This is very hard to answer because we are talking LED bulbs. They use a very tiny fraction of what a regular bulb does so if I answer 25 watts it would be wrong because these lights only use maybe 1 watt or less. So my best answer would be a guess. The tier bulbs put out about what a night light bulb does only a more bluish light. The flood lights produce much more light I would say about what a 45 watt bulb would. This is why I posted a picture so you could see what the effect is. You cannot go wrong buying this product unless the advertised life span of these bulbs is a lie. This is true about all LED bulbs. If they last 10 plus years you are a fool not to buy them. However, if it turns out that they only last 3-4 years forget about it. Waste of money. Read Less

I would also like to know about the Orbit LED pathway lights (price, availability etc.). They show them on there website but very little information. The Orbit rep said to contact Home Depot since you sell them. I have never seen them there although he did state they were a new item.

Yes you can. I am considering adding two floods. You have to order them from the web site. If you need 12 path lights you might be better off just buying another complete set. As I remember, the lights were about $35 each so if you need six more it would be cheaper to just buy the complete set. This way you would get 2 more floods and more important another 50' of wire which you could splice in to have Read More

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best I Have Bought I would highly recommend these lights. I have bought several outdoor lights in the past and these are by far the best I have I bought The light output is perfect and the light color is very good. The spots are great. I am using them to light a 6 x9 pond and the effect is quite beautiful. July 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You will be very happy with these LED lights. Since this Hampton Bay LED light set can only be ordered online, I was a little hesitant to order the Kit without being able to see them at my local store. These lights blew away my expectations. For 0.3W lights and 1W spots they give off a very bright white light. The textured lens on the regular lights, while plastic instead of glass, diffuse the light very nicely. They are much brighter than the incandescent 7W lights and 20W spots they replaced. The 1W LED spotlight might almost be too bright for some locations. Assembly and Installation is very easy. The new clip design for attachment to the wire is very nice and easy to use. They can be undone very easily if you want to move a light. Unlike the clips on my old set that, once they were attached, they were almost impossible to disconnect. To answer someone else's question in a review, you can add extra lights to this set. I added two extra lights and one extra spotlight. The only negative feature on these lights is the smaller lower valance ring. The part is a cheap flimsy plastic. The design of the lights would allow this valance to be aluminum like the top and the stalk are, but for some reason they are plastic. Luckily, when the assembled light is placed in the landscaping, they are not noticeable at all, especially at night. This is the only reason I gave this Kit a "good" quality rating vs. "excellent". Overall, you will be very happy with these LED lights, especially when you compare the Kit price to the cost of other loose piece LED lights. June 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good basic yard lighting kit! This is a good value yard lighting kit to get you started. The LED lights are brighter than expected. The basic transformer is not programmable but does has a 2/6/8 hour switch for time the lights stay on and photo cell works well. Light fixtures are light duty but stylish for the price. You will probably need more wiring if lights are spread out or transformer is a little distance away. The instructions are poorly translated and minimal. Kit is good value at regular price and a steal at the sale price I got it for. November 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent We had solar lights at first they were ok at first, but had a dim light. they eventually stopped working after a year. So we looked into something that would put out good light. I looked at alot of diffrent type. I liked the style of these and they seemed east to put in. They were very esay to put in the only thing we didnt think of was where we were going to plug it in. we did have to get our friend who is a contarctor to come out and put in an outside outlet. But once that was done we had done everything else it was as simple as just plugging it in.....we have only had them for a couple of days but they put out lots of light and they look very nice. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Spotlights and transformer need upgrading The transformer has no on/off switch, timer or light detection, and, seems to me to be under-powered for more than a very small system. I substituted a more powerful (200 w) transformer with an enclosed timer to allow for better control and system growth. The spotlights failed after less than a week in operation. Thankfully, The Home Depot, as usual, accepted the returns with no hassle. I am now awaiting delivery to the store to install the new path lights. Why can't The Home Depot carry the Hampton Bay LED low-voltage products in their stores? The Hampton Bay fans and other products seem to be very high quality, in contrast to the low-quality Malibu products. July 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal Path Lights Lights were well made, easy to install and LED. I replaced 10 year old incandescent path lights that I got tired of changing the bulbs as they burned out. I used the existing, buried power lines rather than the cord that came with the set. They burn brighter, which I like. The only improvement I'd make is to make the globes glass rather then plastic but really that's no big deal. Last thought....use your HD credit card to purchase the lights and receive a 5% discount. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bright Lights These lights were very easy to put together and they all worked as advertised. I really think these lights are a good buy. The power supplies are also very easy to work with. You can add extra lights or flood lights without having to get a new power pack. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, good bang for the buck This is my first try at low voltage lighting and I am very pleased. The kit was very easy to put together and functions as described in the instructions. They come on at dusk and stay lit for 8 hours, (my choice). There are other settings available on the transformer. The kit would be perfect if it came with 75 feet of wire instead of just 50. You need to leave 10 feet between the transformer and the first light, so that leaves just 40 feet for the 6 path lights and 2 spots. It's a little tight and I found I had to purchase some more wire and a connector separately. But overall good solid bang for the buck. August 12, 2012
