Answer:
Be aware that at 2400 watts you are most likely overtaxing your wiring and circuit breaker. Since 10 10 watt LEDs calcs to 100 watts you are not likely to get enough LEDs on this system to be near that problem. Mixing LEDs and Halogens will most likely confuse all but the best dimmer switches and cause some flickering. Just don't do it.

Answer:
There is no LED version yet. the power supply and track are rated for 2,400 watts. Multiply the number heads by the wattage they use and divide that number into 2,400. That is how many track heads you can use.

There are no LED track heads available yet for this track system unless of course you plan on using halogen type heads and replacing the bulbs with LED bulbs.
Either way, add up the total wattage of the heads and divide that number into 2,400 and you will have your answer.

My husband thinks we may need additional stanchions. Have others had this experience? Is it possible to purchase stanchions individually? I couldn't find them online.

Yes, I KNOW I need additional stanchions and a new electrical connection. last night I heard a humming sound coming from the fixtures. Today I started to check out the noise and when I felt the main electrical "snap close" connection it was very warm. The main electrical "snap close" connection was broken as well as one of the "snap close" electrical connections for one of the fixtures. For now, I installed rubber bands to hold the "snap connectors" closed. I have 5 fixture on 12 feet of track with the four stanchions that were provided with the kit. I think I will call the number listed in the previous response tomorrow. -Glad I checked on that humming noise. Read Less

No, it only comes in 12ft. If you want a 10ft, 5 light kit, look for SKU 762203 in the track lighting bays in the stores.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by better than discontinued similar product item is as usual with all made in china products. fair price. described. easy mount. no instructions August 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great took time to assemble add ons. Looks good when put together. Need to swap out bulbs for LED which adds to cost August 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really love these track lights We put 3 of these lights up in the basement, they look great and give out tons of light. It does take 2 people to put them up, but the ability to shape and get light where you need it is great. December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install; great way to increase light Once the base is wired, the rest of the installation is quite easy-- basically, if you know how to put a screw into your ceiling, this will go up easy. Additionally, the ability to move the heads at any time to a different place on the track makes the task of getting light where you need light very easy. Connecting two tracks together was also a breeze. We used these to replace the contractor-grade flush mount lights in our large basement family room. The amount of light in the room now is great, and we haven't even maxed out the capacity of the fixture yet. January 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good track The track for this system is very easy to install and you can have fun with it. The owner wanted to have their letter J as the line so it was easy to do. December 10, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Additional track = consistent light throughout kitchen! I bought this to add some additional coverage to my kitchen lighting. Using that "coupler" that is available on homedepot.com I combined with my original length of track for a total of 18ft. Using GU10 LED lights I get great coverage of the kitchen at only 27 watts total! April 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Install I went with this light track because the power box was off center to the usable space in my room. This track allowed me to place the lighting in the middle of the room so it fit over a table or island. The instructions are pretty good, but leave a little detail out for some who have never done these types of things before. So, here are some things to do/think about. First, it is really important to shape the track on the floor. I used a few piece of duct tape to hold it in place. The duct tape was placed where I thought the stanchions should be. I reshaped it a few times until I found the shape I needed to move the lights from the off-centered power connector to the middle of the room. This step seemed to help the track be more pliable when you're ready to lift it into place. Leave the track on the floor while you connect the power canopy and put up the stanchions. When putting up the power canopy, make sure it is placed in the same way that you have the track laid out in regard to the metal connectors on the track. There are two connections on one side and one on the other. It doesn't matter which way you do it, just make sure it is the same. I then measured where to drill holes by measuring "down and over" from the last stanchion starting with the power connector (ex: down 8" over 10", etc.) and measured each one this way from the last. I found this easier than trying to measure diagonally, so just a thought. Use the toggle bolts if hanging from a drywall ceiling and don't forget to place BOTH the stanchion AND the decorative ring on the bolt before pushing the toggle into the ceiling. Once the stanchions are all placed into the ceiling, get an extra pair of hands to help you lift the track into place. Another reviewer mentioned using zip ties to secure the track to all of the stanchions before making all of the permanent connections. BEST ADVICE EVER! Doing this we had the track up in a minute or less and your "extra pair of hands" can go back to whatever they were doing. While suspended on the zip ties, the track can easily be moved and adjusted as necessary. Connect each stanchion, cut the zip ties off the track and start hanging your light fixtures! On another note, the pendants I bought came with about 7 feet of cord. When I went to cut the cords and rewire them I had trouble stripping the insulation off the tiny inner wires. I called and took them into my Home Depot store where they cut and rewired them for me. February 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This is not "brushed steel"! It is silver colored plastic! Silver plastic is not brushed steel as the rail is described on line. January 5, 2016
