Yes there is and you must follow the explicit directions. Illustrations help.

Is there a hook in the center of the gazebo, so you can hang a chandelier?

Asked by: Sal83
I had a pretty heavy light fixture for a while that I ran electricity to. Then I upgraded to a 42" ceiling fan after I finally got it mounted to the ground good enough where no matter the wind its not going anywhere. Only try this if you 100% confident in your ability to wire and hang with drop bar it and KNOW that it is ANCHORED down really good. I only run mine on medium or low speed.

installing over the porch area

Is it possible to assemble on porch or it should be only on the ground?
Asked by: Homa
No problem with that. The unit is heavy and not low. It would work well.

Customer Reviews

12 ft. x 12 ft. Harbor Gazebo is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 274.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not last one year This was very easy to assemble. We opted to secure the frame to our cement patio with concrete screws and this worked exceptionally well. However after 9 months, the smaller top portion of the canopy frame came undone and cannot be welded. Also, one of the corner frames dropped a stablizing bar at the bottom that cannot be welded. The canopy itself came apart at the corners where it secures to the corner of the frame. The canopy also ripped along each of the sides near the bottom after 9 months and is already dry rotted. If the product would have held up, it would have been fantastic and we enjoyed it while it lasted. But in my opinion, it should have at the very least, lasted a year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from save your money I am writing this even though I know it may not be seen by customers. There are several problems with some of the welds of the metal parts they rust and brake off. The worst part of it is the fabric. I have gone through three tops because they start to tare and then rip to pieces. The manufacturer gave me two replacement tops and then told me they would no longer honor the guarantee. I tried to work with Toni Stenson of Home Depot but she would only give me in store credit. There is a third company that knows of the problem and has a top to fix the problem and I wanted Home Depot to give me my money back and I would purchase the good top.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value With a bit of fiddling, this was assembled in 2 hours by 1 person ( unpacking / unwrapping / removing labels is 30 minutes worth of effort ). The parts were labeled well & the instructions were pretty good. Having a screw gun & sockets will speed up assembly over the supplied "tools". It's definitely a light-duty structure, but with some care it should last many seasons. Overall, it performs quite well - keeps 95% of the bugs out, vents nicely at the top, & provides adequate protection from rain (if it's not blowing too hard). I don't think you can find anything better at this very low price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warning... This gazebo was completely DESTROYED in less than a week during a normal thunderstorm. It ended up on our roof causing damage which in turn caused water damage in our laundry room. This was NOT a tornado or hurricane, it was just a regular rain storm!! We had this set up for 5 days!! I'm talking completely mangled, bent, broken, twisted, smashed, ripped from the ground...flying through the air...we're standing in the window thinking can this really be happening!!! So, NO we wouldn't recommend this gazebo to any other family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not 12x12 It is made OK. I mounted it to a deck with angle brackets. Left it up for 4 years, only took down the cloth for the winter. It finally fell apart last fall. It was strong enough to hang a 52" ceiling fan from the hook in center without any problems. The roof is 12'x12' not the inside measurement though. They count the overhang. It came with a broken rail that is just for decoration. I did not need it for anything other than looks but I did email the company like the instructions said and did not get a reply until 6 months later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! We really love the gazebo, it actually took less time to put together than others we have put together in the past.. This time we decided to get a larger gazebo than the usual 10x10, while it is not more than a couple feet the 12x12 size really has made a difference. It is going to be really nice to sit outside in the summer under the shade. Also because it is larger we were able to fit a 6ft. outdoor sofa that comfortably seats 4 people, so a lot more seating than before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Construction The Gazebo frame is put together quite well, very solid metal and supports. Assembly is pretty simple, one person can do it in about 1 hour. The privacy curtains are good quality but they only block two sides of the Gazebo but the bug screen which covers all four side has the worst zippers you could use. Very difficult to zip or unzip, they will not last the summer. A ceiling hook is also provided so that you can add a fan to the room. The top of the Gazebo is made of cheep metal would not survive a winter storm, So you must remove the top by the end of the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Canopy for the money We bought our first canopy in 2011 and it sat in the box until we finished the deck. Once it was up, it looked so amazing. It really is an extension of our house. It lasted for 3 years and then a strong wind in November brought it down. We normally take the canopy down in October but didn't get to it in time... completely our fault. We are on our second canopy and again are extremely happy with it. We thought the price was very reasonable and have gotten so many compliments on it. We live outside from May until October.
