They are made of wood. Once you get them in the ground they're good. But if you decide to move them at all...because water is in the ground...the stakes just crumble once you take them out of the ground or try to put them back in the ground the break of because the wood is not treated and it becomes soft. They were nice and sturdy until I decided to change the configuration after a month in the ground.

If you are going to put them somewhere no one will ever touch them or bump them with a lawn mower or edger, then these will look nice. They are very poorly constructed though and we have had many of the stakes fall off through various means so far and they also get discolored very quickly. We will be replacing ours with something different now after less than 1 year.

It is well made and adds a nice decorative touch to my yard.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by fri1234 Little Picket Fence
The little picket fence was very much as I expected, which was a simple little picket ornament to place near bushes and flowers and nothing more. The little fence should not be expected to be more than ornamental at best. Since my expectations were not high, I was not completely dissatisfied. I was very disappointed, however, when I checked out the sections of fence and found that two of the end pieces (the part that is pushed into the ground to support the section) were split. The cost of my purchase was low enough that I intend to reinforce these two end pieces rather than go through the inconvenience and cost of sending my order back for replacement.

I had these fences for only a few months and they began to fall apart. The wood was "stapled" together and the pieces just started to pull away from each other.

A good product - not excellent but exactly what we needed ... we used it as divider between our and neighbor's yards to both sides of us. We stapled screen to the back to keep out leaves and mulch from neighbor's yards. Wish it was made of treated wood and available at longer lengths with more "in ground" stake portions. Easy to install with just a hammer. Purchased enough to go around my yard -- 155 feet.

Worth the price. Don't expect to last forever. Wood is not treated.

Looked beautiful for about three months and kept the dogs out of my garden, but the wood is not treated and just simply rotted in the ground and fell over. I wasted hundreds of dollars on this temporary fencing. Purchase something more stable that doesn't rot in four months. You're welcome, wish I had realized this before.
