Purchased three of these fixtures. Installation was easy, although the screws get easily stripped (so an installer will need extras). The fixtures look nice and are very attractive. However, the Dusk-to-Dawn function (which is the reason we bought the lights) does not work. When you set the fixture to this function, the light turns on and strobes repeatedly (blinking on and off quickly). This does not stop unless you change the light to the manual mode or the 2- or 6-minute motion sensing function. Called the help desk and they said to set the sensitivity to low when on the Dusk-to-Dawn function. However, after we tried this, the feature still did not work. The only way to stop the blinking is to cover the sensor at the bottom with electrical tape. For $50 lights, I should not have to put tape on any part of the fixture in order to get it to work. We will be returning these lights this weekend. Poorly designed and poor quality, unfortunately.

I installed mine just a few days ago. At the height I have it mounted, which is about 11 feet, the motion sensor can't see me unless I wave my hands above my head as I walk by. So I've decided to leave it on all night, which makes the incandescent energy-hog bulb included in the package inappropriate. I installed a yellow CFL, and it works fine in that mode. (When it burns out, I'll buy LED.) One other item: I wish the shade was about two inches longer so that it completely hides the bulb from view. (It should be noted, however, that If the fixture were mounted lower -- say 6 or 7 feet high, neither of these complaints would be an issue.)

Rated 3 out of 5Â by dusty dust to dawn feature does not work properly
This is a nice looking lamp and I am keeping it because I got it to work on motion and manual on. the dusk to dawn feature strobes and does not work. The sensor sees the light from the fixture and thinks it is dawn. This is either a lamp that the sensor is angled wrong or it is just a bad design. I had an electrician put mine up so I know that it wired correctly. if I place my hand about 2 inches below the bottom of the shade, and between it and the sensor, it works fine.

I purchased the light for its dusk to dawn feature. The first night it blinked off and on. The light interferes with the motion sensor which turns it off and then noticing that it is still dark outside turns it back on instantly. This would be great if my front porch were a disco. I'm ripping it off an taking it back tomorrow. What a piece of junk.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Joseph Poor design on the location of the sensor.
I bought this light for the dusk to dawn feature. After I installed it I went out that night to see if it was on and it was blinking like crazy. However, if I place my hand just about 2 inches below the bottom of the shade, and between it and the sensor, it works fine. Apparantly the light from the lamp is interfering with the sensor. The sensor should have been put on top of the light instead of the bottom. Poor design. I am taking it back and getting another brand.
