Purchased at the store so I was able to see it on display before purchased. Only problem was that the 2 screws they ship that hold the mounting plate to the fixure base are too long. They come with lock nuts however after you set them to the correct height to allow for flush mounting they protrude through the top and keep the fixure from mounting tight to the ceiling. I corrected this by replacing theirs with 2 shorter screws.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ct36 Looks nice, but poor quality
Looks nice. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the quality is poor, and it will not sit flush without some modification. I had to trim the excess pipe nipple/threaded rod for the center and both light sockets, and even then I had to scrap the mounting bracket and just screw the fixture directly to the ceiling box. The panes of glass are all held in individually by metal clips. Most of the clips are loose, though, and do not do a good job of holding the glass. A few dabs of RTV silicone in the corners of each pane (not visible from the outside when installed) secured the glass for me.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Guillemot Does not sit flush!!! Poor design/assembly/quality
The unit does not sit flush to the ceiling. The threaded rods that bolt the two light sockets to the base each protrude beyond the bottom of the base. This requires that you drill two additional holes in your ceiling (which are hidden by the base) to receive them in order to push the base tight to the ceiling. I have two of these lights and they each have the same problem.
One of the ceramic light sockets also was not attached to its base. I had to pull it out and re-fasten it with the decorative nut that had fallen off of it in shipping.
Once these problems were fixed the light went up fine and looks good.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 987654 Possibly the worst purchase I ever made
This fixture bent without any application of force while trying to mount. Had to glue every piece of glass into the fixture before the final mount. PIECE OF JUNK!! Won't mount flush to the soffit. I also wish I had read some of the reviews before buying this scrap.

Does not mount flush/tight; also, glass pieces in fixture are loose. Looks ok when up. Hoping there will not be heavy wind or rain :(

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A2BB attractive light; easy installation; works well
The man who installed it for me said it was easy to install. It looks attractive; gives good light. It replaces a fixture of 40 years ago! My main concern was ease to replace bulbs. We'll see...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Idratherbemowing Look great; good choice
I looked at nearly everything available to replace four 40-year fixtures. I actually bought three different styles before deciding to install these. I chose not to do the electrical work and had my electrician remove the old and hook these up. He decided not to use some part during the installation, instead driving the attaching screws directly into the wood ceiling. Something doesn't fit correctly otherwise. They look great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kellyb0924 Love it and looks great
I (being a female) had no issues installing this light, I took down my exsisting light and this one matched up perfect with the housing box. My housing mounted flush and it took me all of about 15 minutes to complete. Price was great, and glass is a little thin but it's normal compared to all other ones. I like the rubber seal arond the glass housing to help keep the bugs from collecting on the inside, great idea....Now I just hope it works.
