I pulled the light chain completley off. Will this kit fix that problem?

Asked by: Rac1170
The light kit won't fix the problem but you can buy replacement pull chains.

What kind of lamp plug in does it have?

My fan is a Hampton Bay Antigua 96H7 No 054695 with a 9 prong plug in
Asked by: Judy
It has a standard quick connect two wire plastic plug, but my fan didn't have this type plug so i just cut it off and wire nutted it.

Can I install this without the fan?

Can I install this directly in to the ceiling? I am trying to match a fan in the room without using the space of a second fan.
Asked by: Megsmom
I'm sure you could figure out a way to do so, but i'm pretty sure they sell a standard ceiling light version that would be much simpler to install. All my ceiling fans have this type shad so thats the reason I bought this kit. I bought a two pack of ceiling lights that were similarly shaped so they would semi match all my ceiling fan fixtures.

Not able to get bulbs to light up

I originally tried to connect the blue & white wires using the adapter connectors but didn't get any light when I pulled the cord. I tried splicing the wires and attaching them with the wire nuts but that didn't help either. I have confirmed I have power running to the fan since I am able to run that and I have confirmed I have the white wire connected to the white wire and the blue wire connected to the black one, as per the instructions. Not sure what I'm missing. The fan is a hampton bay as well and everything seems to fit so I don't understand what is causing the problem.
Asked by: NJHome1
You could start by taking an inexpensive volt meter and see if you have power coming to the bulb socket. If not check the connections.

2-Light Ceiling Fan Light Kit is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It does the job, but not ideal I needed a replacement for our Hampton bay fan with lights; specifically just the glass globe part. The only way to do this was to buy the entire kit, which cost more than I wanted to pay. This was the only model available that looked like it would fit our model. Websites all said the only way to get a replacement glass for our brand was through Home Depot. Home Depot's choices were limited. This was the right style in terms of glass color, but not design, so it could not be used as we would have liked, but it beats having bare bulbs showing.

My wife asked me to get a light for the fan. I chose this one and installed it rather quickly and found that it was perfect. I almost bought the one with 3 bulbs, but this one gives off plenty of light. My only difficulty was routing the pull chains as the directions are a little vague. Other than that, it was a slam dunk.

Worked great BUT it had a mind of its own. Would turn on by itself when it felt like - 2AM in the morning (its in our bedroom) is not pleasant. Nobody could explain it so I returned it and purchased the Hampton Bay light. Works great - Looks good - installed easily.

I don't light the quality of light CFL's provide. I returned it and converted a ceiling bowl light kit, allowing me to use 2 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs. Now I get bright high quality light that does not overheat

I bought it to fit with a Hampton Bay fan and found out that it is not compatible with it after trying to install it. Very disappointed because this is a beautiful light fixture and would have looked great with my fan.
