Hi All.
Yes there is an Out-Let Plug. Its your choice if you choose to wire it up or not. I didn't wire mine up, as I didn't need an extra plug. That and it is to high for most people. Then you would also have a cord hanging down close to the sink. Remember Codes

I haven't bought this yet, but one of the reviewers mentioned that there is a receptacle. From the picture, it looks like it's at the centre bottom.

Answer:
This light fixture is normally hard wired to wires inside the wall. If u choose to setup with wires and a plug, that's also do-able. I do that with a lot of fixtures that I test or use as a temp.

We want to hang these lights vertically as sidebar mirrors to copy our old 1960's light which is similar. Is there any safety reason why hanging them vertically is not recommended?

Option for no outlet plug?

This question is from 2-Light White Surface Mount Bath Bar Light
July 27, 2015
It's against section 8 code to have a non gfci outlet within 6 feet of a water source. Is there a way to not have the outlet on this? I realize it the outlet could simply be cut out and covered over with duct tape or something but is there a way to have the outlet removed and have the light still look nice? Like a plastic piece that fills in the spot where the outlet was?

Answer:
Hi All.
You don't have to install the Plug-In. But it doesn't come with a Cover Plate. You could make one and paint it to match

Answer:
Answering my own question, I bought this light and it turns out it's easy to pop out the outlet and then a simple process to cover over the hole with wood or whatever from behind so it's not visible.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 2 light bath light My customer picked out this old school fixture I personally don't care for the look but it was easy to install and seems to be good quality. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great look Perfect for my bathrooms that I just renovated. I like simple things. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed We installed it with two 40-watt-equivalent LED bulbs over the sink in a very small half bath in a basement. Provides plenty of great great diffuse light. I can't speak to ease of installation; a contractor installed it. But honestly, how hard could it be? It's a simple wall light. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by just what i needed easy to install .clear direction looks good when done...replace old one none working outlet March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks even better than the one we had. We couldn't get the bulb out of the socket in our old one & it seemed to have a short in it. This light is almost identical to the one that we had; but this one looks so much nicer & brighter. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Light This Light fit into my Older Homes Decor. I also added LED lights to it to make it even better.. It was also a snap to install. October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thanks for the useless mounting bar screws Hampton Bay! The mounting screws for the mounting bar in my assembly kit were too big to fit the holes in a standard electrical wall box. I simply swapped them out with the old screws from the light fixture I removed. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It fit the house style Great value.fit well in my small bathroom. Buy the clear bulbs for good light. October 7, 2015
