For some odd reason, Hampton Bay made the light socket housing on these outdoor lamp posts out of thin metal instead of cast aluminum like everything else on the post. Hence, if any moisture, heavy morning dew, or simple condensation gets trapped in between the thin metal sleeve and light socket, the metal sleeve will rust out at the bottom leaving the light socket hanging in mid air and exposed to the elements that eventually shorts out. This is an obvious design flaw or lack of foresight by the designers, and an unnecessary Achilles heal that will severely shorten the lifespan of your 3-head outdoor post light. Unfortunately, there seems to be no replacements available for that thin metal housing once it rusts out. If anyone has found a solution for this design flaw, please let me know because it is shameful to loose the entire Hampton Bay 3-head lamp post just because of a poorly designed metal sleeve that cost less than 50 cents... what a waste!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Post light nicer looking in person! Light was easy to install and looks really really nice at the end of our driveway. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed with defected part the top part of pole, where the light stations screw into it has a crack and I had to paint it black . I contacted the manufacture last Saturday to replace the defect part and haven't heard back yet August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ok fixture its ok there is no outlet on teh pole a nice to have thing. lettle shorted then I expected. over all good buy does the job just fine. easy to install July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice light This light is beautiful when installed. Easy to assemble and it all fits together easily. Everything is powder coated aluminum and should hold up to weather. I found it's really easy if you are doing this project from scratch to install 3 3/8 x 5" bolts into the concrete with the supplied template when you pour the concrete. Just leave 2" above the pad. I also installed conduit in my concrete for the electrical wiring. Another thing that goes really nice in the light are the 40 watt Edison bulbs Home Depot sells. They add a nice touch. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor quality I purchased this lamp post as a Christmas gift, living in upstate NY first chance to install it. Don't get me wrong it's very nice looking from a distance, but very poor quality in manufacturing. The light part of this post doesn't even screw in straight. I purchased Hampton Bay because it used to mean quality, I'm afraid they got cheap on this product. June 30, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I bought this light to replace an old one same style. The new light is one foot shorter than the old and much poorer quality June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Landscape Enhancement The lamppost was a replacement for an old one that no longer worked. Found this online and it was exactly what we needed. It arrived quickly and was super easy to put together; it was also the best price found anywhere on the internet, and included free shipping! It does need to be hard wired, but this was an easy process and it allowed us to install a timer on the line so it is on at night, which enhances security as well as the landscape. It took two people about 4 hours to put it together and wire it to the house, including burying the wire in the ground in PVC pipe. Since it is installed in the yard, some Quickcrete in a bucket provides a nice base for attachment (the concrete is buried in the ground and the lamppost is screwed into it-base is hidden with flowers!). We have received many compliments on its appearance and it adds a nice Parisian flair to our entryway. May 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT I bought one initially and loved it so I bought more for rental homes. They are easy to install and add an upgraded look to the property. I love the look and would highly recommend this product. The price is lower than any other lights that have the same type of appearance. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase. June 7, 2016
