Home Depot's Hampton Bay 3-lamp antique bronze canopy-base ceiling fixture is actually unique.
Hampton Bay is a subsidiary of Home Depot and a brand name for its lighting and ceiling fan products, (mainly known for the latter) and many of its product designs are proprietary. That's one reason this fixture is in a class by itself, but in this case, the design itself has not been imitated - which in this follow-the-crowd era of product marketing is surprising - despite it's fabulous appearance.
The project was the expansion of a tight, small closet into a walk-in by doubling its space. The old closet was lit with one old pull-chain porcelain fixture with one bare bulb. The bedroom the closet serviced was decorated as a bit of a 1930s/40s explorer's digs, replete with vintage travel posters, a tropical cane-bladed ceiling fan, and period furnishings.
The lighting requisites in the closet were several: 1) aimed lighting with three areas for specific illumination: two areas of double rod and shelving hanging apparel storage (one of which was the new extended bay,) and a set of bureau drawers with a small shelved nook above it (for sundries like shoe polish, lint and clothes brushes, a mending kit, and so on) above it. 2) a single fixture in the same general area of the original one to accomplish this, and 3) a fixture that would complement the esoteric look of the bedroom.
Initially the search was for linear track lighting to accomplish the three prerequisites, but finding anything that didn't look contempo proved vexing. The journey stopped suddenly when the Hampton Bay fixture came into view. It was modern, code-friendly, and a cinch to install, but it had the look of a 1930s canopy with swiveling, rotating lamps housed in miniature spotlight housings - think 1930s Hollywood film set. I was able to position the lamps exactly to my needs, the illumination was powerful, replacement lamps are easy to acquire, and it help make the closet match the bedroom admirably!
I checked other sources for similar fixtures to compare features and prices, but there simply WEREN'T any; not vintage, not vintage-look either. The Home Depot price was a bargain, and I ordered it for delivery via their website. It arrived quickly, in perfect shape, and installed like a breeze. Running line to a switch was equally easy, and shazam! - one more need off the closet (and bedroom) punchlist!

I had a friend helping and it took us less than 15 minutes to install. The halogen adjustable lights are very bright. It worked with my Luvton dimmer no problems. I had no problems installing the lamps in the twist sockets. Everything worked. Looks great.

Pretty fixture. Gives off nice light and in the direction you want. I used it in our basement stairwell which really helps brighten it and looks gorgeous against the gray painted walls. It was the easiest fixture I've ever installed. My hubby usually doesn't notice my changes around the house and he instantly noticed how nice this fixture looks.

The light looks nice. We had trouble installing bulbs. The instructions did not explain that the front part of the bulb covers can be removed to make installation easier.
