Looks simple enough but, as with other reviewers, I found the threaded bolts for screwing on the little ball nuts are too long so the fascia is loose. Had to cut down the bolts. The bolts are Phillips head with the heads on the backside of the plate with a nut and lock washer on the front. Make sure that they are as tight as possible (mine were loose) otherwise you'll be taking everything apart again when you find you can't tighten the ball nuts.
The wall plate is designed assuming you have an outlet box installed. It has hole patterns in the middle that would presumably match up with the box (2 screws are provided to attach it). Unfortunately, my older house just had wires coming out of a hole in the drywall. The wall plate has two holes towards each end of the wall plate and two wall anchors and screws are provided but it really needs to be anchored in the middle also, whether to the outlet box or by using more anchors and screws (as in my case), otherwise the weight will flex the wall plate.
Looks very nice once it's up.
I'll be saving some money on electric as the old frosted fixture I had took 6 bulbs and this gives more light with just 3.

Easily installed. Looks absolutely FABULOUS in the bathroom. We used 75 watt equivalent bulbs and felt it was more then illuminating the bathroom. Very pleased bought the 4 light same manufacturer and style and it is GREAT too. Used in a larger bathroom.

This light has 3 flaws:
1. The finish is not brushed nickle. It is more like not quite as shiny chrome.
2. Threaded studs for holding light to mounting plate are too long so you can't get it tight without first cutting them down.
3. The frosted glass shades are too heavy! They pull the cover off the wall/mounting plate at the top and sides.
I installed it in an extra bathroom in my basement that isn't used much and I didn't fee like taking it down and returning it. It does look good (3 flaws not withstanding) and with 60 watt bulbs does the job.

Great light. Easy install, even for a girl. :) only took about 20 minutes to install. Beautiful in my 1/2 downstairs bathroom.

Looks nice not very brushed though. It's a very light brushing and has more shine but looks nice and gives off great light.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jon411 NOT TOO HAPPY with Hampton Bay
We bought and returned this product twice for our Jack and Jill vanities- 4 light bars total. Each bath bar we bought had a different flaw in design or parts issue that prevented the installation. For example, mounting screws too long, a mounting screw finishing decorative nut missing, mounting wall plate flange irregular size creating an unusual gap between the cover and mounting wall plate. The ease of installation is poor because we were unable to finish a complete mounting due to missing parts and design flaws.
I thought Hampton Bay represented quality, I guess not. We are sorry to say, we will not buy Hampton Bay products in the future.

Arrived with 1 light and socket broken, with missing part. 2nd light chipped under rim. Have to return to store. Description said brushed nickel but the surface looked more like shiny silver. Very disappointed.
