I bought 2 of these for the beach house, and liked them so much I purchased 3 more for a rental house I am upgrading. They are very easy to install (just attach the glass shades after the fixture is on the wall). Also, I use the decorative clear glass round light bulbs. They do protrude a bit, but it looks like part of the design.

For the price you are getting a very top quality light fixture. Quality parts and thought where put in to these lights.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by RBremodeler Good fixture in looks and function at a good price.
Light looks nice but you should understand the following:
1. Most bulbs, incandescent or compact fluorescent (CFL), of 60 watts or more will stick out the bottom of the shade. CFLs are slightly longer, so protrude out further. My CFL-60 protrudes about 1/2", one 60 watt incandescent 1/8" and another incandescent 0". 100-watt bulbs will stick out further. But even if the bulb is not longer than the shade, it will be visible when standing in front of a 22" deep vanity. If this is objectionable, buy a different type fixture. Another reviewer solved this by mounting the fixture with the bulbs pointing upward. We did not like this orientation. After using the fixture for 2 weeks, we do not find the protruding 60-watt CFLs objectionable.
2. My incandescent bulbs give off a soft yellow light, turning the shade that color. The soft white CFL shines white. You can also get a daylight CFL, which will be even a brighter white.
3. Assembly: The instructions are for an electrical box with threaded holes for the strap at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions. This may be the way "modern" boxes are built. My box, from 1980, had the strap holes in the same horizontal position as the mounting holes in the fixture (3 and 9 o'clock). Therefore I used the mounting screws to both hold the strap and the fixture.
As an aside, a sign of the times: The old fixture was labeled "Union Made"; the new one "Made in China".
4. The fixture is moderately heavy and so was a little difficult to install. I solved the weight problem by putting a bar stool and some packing from the fixture box on the vanity top to support the fixture while I connected the wires. Once installed, the fixture seems solid enough. The two-screw mounting is far superior than the one-screw mounting used in some other Hampton Bay fixtures sold at Home Depot.
Overall we are happy with our fixture.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Beth New light fixture has made a great difference in our bath!
We completed a partial remodel of our bathroom (we have a new tub/shower and toilet) but left the existing vanity in place. We replaced the faucet, cabinet pulls and added this light fixture. While I would have loved to have side lights (we didn't pull down the mirror) - we had this fixture installed w/ the lights going up and I think it provides much softer lighting in our bath. We like it so much we've bought the same fixture for our other two bathrooms. I don't know about installation as our contractor did it for us, but I don't think there were any issues.

This light looks really nice. I'm pleased with how it looks modern and yet 'warm'. I do wish the glass was a little longer to hide the bulb better. I had to search for smaller bulbs because I want the bulb to show as little as possible and regular size bulbs show too much to suit me! I may just be too fussy...
