I'm assuming the fixture accepts a medium Edison style base since it suggests A-type bulbs in the details... which means LED bulbs are fine.
I would even recommend them because the run at a VERY cool temperature for the light output.

All it means by removing them is that the light pattern will be allowed to diffuse and create a wider dispersion pattern #more coverage). Given that the can itself is white, this should amount to a lot of coverage as the white will act as a mild reflector.
The website doesn't say a maximum wattage... is there one in the manual, I'm curious to know before picking these up. Read Less

Cheap and effective light, not the best looking but lets you put a lot of light in a number of directions at one time. I used this on a sloped ceiling at the top of a staircase. I have it lighting the stairs, and both directions at the top of the landing. It blends in to the ceiling, and is not an eyesore like the polished brass two light spotlight I replaced. I used LED flood lights in it, so it is as energy efficient as some of the other much more expensive lights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Is A Beautiful Thing! This is a very nice-looking track style light. I like the pivoting heads and it was so easy to install. Put it up in 5 minutes! This is a great value if you want something that looks nice, gives you the ability to place your lighting where you want it and you don't want to spend a lot of money.

Reason: I didn't want to replace a ballast that had probably gone bad ... but I had no way of independently verifying that. Installed as I expected. Lots of light, using LED bulbs to minimize need to get up on a ladder and replace bulbs..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Light Fixture Purchased 2 units. Easily installed in Utility room and storage room. Purchased the recommended R-30 light bulbs, which give off a large amount of light. Both rooms are now nice and bright. Very happy with this purchase and the results they gave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple solution I had a very dark staircase with a one bulb fixture at the top landing. There was no easy way to add another fixture. After installing this in place of the old light I pointed two bulbs down the staircase and the third illuminates the landing. Problem solved. Easy to install and the bulb holders tilt and swivel nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value These lights suited my application perfectly (replacing/adding lighting). Good quality, very easy to install, and the large plate covers any existing discoloration left by the previous fitting.
