Is there a way to replace a burned out bulb? I can see how to get to it easily enough, but wasn't sure if the replacement bulbs are sold anywhere. One of our lights burned out in less than 18 months.
Asked by: Michael
Hi Michael, since it is an LED fixture, I would suspect a short due to water infiltration to be the cause of the problem here. There has been a lot of rain recently. Using a multimeter, you can see if there's still connectivity between the two clips. Verify if the connector didn't rust and if there's still a connection with the landscape wire.

How do I add these to existing wiring?

I have existing spotlighting with adequate additional power to add a few LED lights to the transformer. Can I just splice into the existing wiring to power these? How do I do that without messing up the current lights?
Asked by: Kevin
Hi Kevin, Thanks for visiting our site. These Pathway lights are rated at 3 watts per unit, so as long as you don't exceed the power pack's wattage (add up ALL of the lights wattage for a total), you can add these. Simply tap into the existing power wire with the splice connector that is supplied with the light. Thank you for asking, -Travis

Customer Reviews

3-Watt Black LED Cast Aluminum Path Light is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality lights I bought 3 sets of these each set consisting of 4 Walklights and 2 spotlights. Of the 12 walklights 6 have quit working within 6 months. I have been back to the store twice to get replacements and I have to return again now. They look nice and are very bright but the quality is just not there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not A Good Product There are 3 significant issues with this product in my opinion. First of all the stakes are certain to break just like many other reviewers have stated. The plastic stakes are extremely weak and brittle, unlike the metal stakes that other manufacturers provide. Secondly, the led lights are very bright but rather than lighting up the surrounding area, they just provide a blinding spot of light. And the light is very white rather than a softer shade. I replaced all of these with 3 tier lights from another manufacturer which turned out to be a far superior solution. So don't expect these lights to light up the surrounding area. Thirdly, one of the fixtures arrived broken in 2 places. The cast aluminum housing on one was broken which indicates poor quality metal and the plastic connector was also broken which again indicates poor plastic material just like the stakes. I suggest you consider other products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Like them My main concern was they would not be bright enough. They are really bright. My next concern was the small spike supplied to drive into the ground. I alleviated this by cutting 3/4" PVC into 1 foot pieces and driving them into the ground then filling them with sand. Push the stake into them and they are solid. Next I added 2" round mirrors into the top piece so they reflect light back down instead of just up. Now if they just last i'll be in good shape.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LED light failed after one year Liked the concept of LED. I have been trying different LED fixtures around the yard for the past four years. I purchase two at a time. One of every two purchased have failed in 13-15 months. What ever I may have saved in electricity is spent on replacement fixtures. I am going back to the old reliable Malibu lights. At least those have lasted 10+ years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nicely constructed quality light I ordered 5 of these to complement a recent retaining wall project. It was hard to find a reasonably priced, well constructed LED 12V light... but after much research these fit the bill. The installation was so easy! the quick connector clip on the end of the wire literally clicks in place in 3 seconds. By the second light I already felt like a pro. Other than running the wire the hardest part was making sure the light was plumb. I would recommend that you hand dig the hole where you are going to put them because my only complaint is that the plastic point in the ground feels a little flimsy... but once installed I feel these light will last a long time. One other note that took me a second to figure out. The top of the light twists on and off. (clockwise, counterclockwise)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, with drawback Excellent lights with inadequate stakes. Heavy, well-made, good appearance - 4" plastic stakes are too short. I bought 2' rebars, drove then into ground, and using hose clamps, fastened light posts to stakes. Spray painted my add-ons, look & work great - and should be permanent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This path light was very easy to assemble and works terrific. The design is beautiful and the teardrop glass that surrounds the LED light is a nice touch. I have tried other path lights and was left disappointed every time as the LED's would blow out after a week or two. When I researched this product I decided to spend a little extra and see if I would get different results. I can honestly say that I am extremely happy as my path lights have been going strong for the past two months and have added an extra beauty to the front of my home at night.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I think the lights look great and the value is there. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to quality. The stake breaks too easily.
